2 Vieni a salvarmi, o Dio,
vieni presto, Signore, in mio aiuto.
3 Siano confusi e arrossiscano
quanti attentano alla mia vita.
Retrocedano e siano svergognati
quanti vogliono la mia rovina.
4 Per la vergogna si volgano indietro
quelli che mi deridono.
5 Gioia e allegrezza grande
per quelli che ti cercano;
dicano sempre: «Dio è grande»
quelli che amano la tua salvezza.
6 Ma io sono povero e infelice,
vieni presto, mio Dio;
tu sei mio aiuto e mio salvatore;

70 O God, come quickly to save me;
O Lord, come quickly to help me!

Let those be ashamed and humiliated
Who seek my life;
Let them be turned back and humiliated
Who delight in my hurt.

Let them be turned back because of their shame and disgrace
Who say, “Aha, aha!”
4
May all those who seek You [as life’s first priority] rejoice and be glad in You;
May those who love Your salvation say continually,
“Let God be magnified!”
5
But I am afflicted and needy;
Come quickly to me, O God!
You are my help and my rescuer;
O Lord, do not delay.

1 Hasten, O God, to save me;

may all who desire my ruin

turn back because of their shame.

may those who long for your saving help always say,
