Psalm 69:15-25

¹⁵Let not the flood sweep over me,
or the deep swallow me up,
or ^(A)the pit close ^(B)its mouth over me.

¹⁶Answer me, O Lord, for your ^(C)steadfast love is good;
    according to your abundant ^(D)mercy, ^(E)turn to me.
¹⁷^(F)Hide not your face from your servant,
    ^(G)for I am in distress; ^(H)make haste to answer me.
¹⁸Draw near to my soul, redeem me;
    ransom me because of my enemies!

¹⁹You know my ^(I)reproach,
    and my shame and my dishonor;
    my foes are all known to you.
²⁰^(J)Reproaches have broken my heart,
    so that I am in ^(K)despair.
I ^(L)looked for ^(M)pity, but there was none,
    and for ^(N)comforters, but I found none.
²¹They gave me ^(O)poison for food,
    and for my thirst they gave me ^(P)sour wine to drink.

²²^(Q)Let their own ^(R)table before them become a snare;
    ^(S)and when they are at peace, let it become a trap.^[a]
²³^(T)Let their eyes be darkened, so that they cannot see,
    ^(U)and make their loins tremble continually.
²⁴Pour out your indignation upon them,
    and let your burning anger overtake them.
²⁵^(V)May their camp be a desolation;
    let no one dwell in their tents.
