Psalm 65:5-13
English Standard Version
5 By (A)awesome deeds you answer us with righteousness,
O God of our salvation,
the hope of all (B)the ends of the earth
and of the farthest seas;
6 the one who by his strength established the mountains,
being (C)girded with might;
7 who (D)stills the roaring of the seas,
the roaring of their waves,
(E)the tumult of the peoples,
8 so that those who dwell at the ends of the earth are in awe at your signs.
You make the going out of the morning and the evening to shout for joy.
9 You visit the earth and (F)water it;[a]
you greatly enrich it;
(G)the river of God is full of water;
(H)you provide their grain,
for so you have prepared it.
10 You water its furrows abundantly,
settling its ridges,
softening it with (I)showers,
and blessing its growth.
11 You crown the year with your bounty;
your wagon tracks (J)overflow with abundance.
12 (K)The pastures of the wilderness overflow,
the hills (L)gird themselves with joy,
13 (M)the meadows clothe themselves with flocks,
the valleys deck themselves with grain,
they (N)shout and sing together for joy.

14 You crushed the heads of (E)Leviathan;
you gave him as food for the creatures of the wilderness.
15 You (F)split open springs and brooks;
you (G)dried up ever-flowing streams.
16 Yours is the day, yours also the night;
you have established (H)the heavenly lights and the sun.
17 You have (I)fixed all the boundaries of the earth;
you have made (J)summer and winter.

16 When (A)the waters saw you, O God,
when the waters saw you, they were afraid;

the skies (B)gave forth thunder;
your (C)arrows flashed on every side.
18 (D)The crash of your thunder was in the whirlwind;
(E)your lightnings lighted up the world;
the earth (F)trembled and shook.
19 Your (G)way was through the sea,
your path through the great waters;
yet your footprints (H)were unseen.[a]
20 You (I)led your people like a flock
by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

and all the night with a fiery light.

and caused waters to flow down like rivers.
