Psalm 64
New King James Version
Oppressed by the Wicked but Rejoicing in the Lord
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
64 Hear my voice, O God, in my [a]meditation;
Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked,
From the rebellion of the workers of iniquity,
3 Who sharpen their tongue like a sword,
(A)And bend their bows to shoot their arrows—bitter words,
4 That they may shoot in secret at the blameless;
Suddenly they shoot at him and do not fear.
5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter;
They talk of laying snares secretly;
(B)They say, “Who will see them?”
6 They devise iniquities:
“We have perfected a shrewd scheme.”
Both the inward thought and the heart of man are deep.
7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow;
Suddenly they shall be wounded.
8 So He will make them stumble over their own tongue;
(C)All who see them shall flee away.
9 All men shall fear,
And shall (D)declare the work of God;
For they shall wisely consider His doing.
10 (E)The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and trust in Him.
And all the upright in heart shall glory.

Psalm 64
King James Version
64 Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.
7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.
8 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.
9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
10 The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

Molitva za zaštitu od neprijatelja
Voditelju zbora. Davidova pjesma.
64 Bože, poslušaj moju žalbu,
sačuvaj me od strašnog neprijatelja.
2 Sakrij me od zavjere opakih,
od spletki zločinačkih.
3 Jezike oštre kao mačeve
i odapinju riječi kao otrovne strijele.
4 Iz zasjede gađaju nedužnoga,
napadaju iznenada, ne boje se nikoga.
5 Ustrajavaju u zlim namjerama,
dogovaraju se gdje će staviti zamke
i govore: »Tko će nas vidjeti?«
6 Zlodjela smišljaju i govore:
»Savršen zločin smo smislili.«
Da, lukave su misli i srce čovječje.
7 Ali Bog će ih gađati strijelama,
iznenada će ih raniti.
8 Zbog svojih riječi oni će nastradati.
Svi koji ih vide glavom će odmahivati.
9 Ljude će spopasti strah,
pričat će što je Bog učinio,
iz njegovih djela izvući će pouku.
10 Pravednici se raduju u BOGU
i u njemu nalaze utočište.
Slavit će ga svi koji su u srcu pravedni.
