Psalm 64

Oppressed by the Wicked but Rejoicing in the Lord
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
64 Hear my voice, O God, in my [a]meditation;
Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked,
From the rebellion of the workers of iniquity,
3 Who sharpen their tongue like a sword,
(A)And bend their bows to shoot their arrows—bitter words,
4 That they may shoot in secret at the blameless;
Suddenly they shoot at him and do not fear.
5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter;
They talk of laying snares secretly;
(B)They say, “Who will see them?”
6 They devise iniquities:
“We have perfected a shrewd scheme.”
Both the inward thought and the heart of man are deep.
7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow;
Suddenly they shall be wounded.
8 So He will make them stumble over their own tongue;
(C)All who see them shall flee away.
9 All men shall fear,
And shall (D)declare the work of God;
For they shall wisely consider His doing.
10 (E)The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and trust in Him.
And all the upright in heart shall glory.

64 Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.
7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.
8 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.
9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
10 The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

1 Ðức Chúa Trời ôi, xin nghe tiếng thở than của con;
Xin bảo vệ mạng sống con trước nỗi lo sợ kẻ thù.
2 Xin giấu con khỏi âm mưu bí mật của phường gian ác,
Khỏi cuộc dấy loạn của những kẻ làm ác,
3 Những kẻ chuốc mài lưỡi chúng sắc bén như lưỡi gươm;
Chúng nhắm và buông ra những lời tai hại như tên độc.
4 Từ trong nơi bí mật chúng nhắm bắn vào người ngay lành;
Ðột nhiên chúng bắn người ấy mà chẳng chút ngại ngùng.
5 Chúng cổ võ nhau bám chặt lấy mưu ác;
Chúng bàn tính với nhau để bí mật gài bẫy hại người;
Chúng nói, “Ai có thể thấy được những điều đó?”
6 Chúng toan tính chuyện bất chính với nhau rằng,
“Chúng ta đã sẵn sàng một kế hoạch thật chu đáo.”
Âm mưu và lòng dạ của con người quả là thâm hiểm thay.
7 Nhưng Ðức Chúa Trời sẽ bắn tên vào chúng;
Thình lình chúng sẽ bị trọng thương.
8 Ngài sẽ khiến chúng phải ngã nhào;
Chính lưỡi chúng sẽ trở lại nghịch với chúng;
Khiến ai thấy chúng đều cũng phải lắc đầu;
9 Rồi người ta sẽ đâm ra sợ hãi;
Họ sẽ công bố công việc của Ðức Chúa Trời.
Thật vậy họ sẽ suy gẫm về những gì Ngài đã làm.
10 Người ngay lành sẽ vui vẻ trong Chúa và cứ tin cậy Ngài;
Mọi người có lòng ngay thẳng sẽ vui mừng.
