New American Standard Bible

7 My (A)salvation and my glory rest on God;
The rock of my strength, my (B)refuge is in God.
8 (C)Trust in Him at all times, you people;
(D)Pour out your hearts before Him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah

9 People of (E)low standing are only (F)breath, and people of rank are a (G)lie;
In the (H)balances they go up.
Together they are lighter than breath.

New International Version

7 My salvation and my honor depend on God[a];
    he is my mighty rock, my refuge.(A)
8 Trust in him at all times, you people;(B)
    pour out your hearts to him,(C)
    for God is our refuge.

9 Surely the lowborn(D) are but a breath,(E)
    the highborn are but a lie.
If weighed on a balance,(F) they are nothing;
    together they are only a breath.
