Psalm 62
New International Version
Psalm 62[a]
For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David.
1 Truly my soul finds rest(A) in God;(B)
my salvation comes from him.
2 Truly he is my rock(C) and my salvation;(D)
he is my fortress,(E) I will never be shaken.(F)
3 How long will you assault me?
Would all of you throw me down—
this leaning wall,(G) this tottering fence?
4 Surely they intend to topple me
from my lofty place;
they take delight in lies.
With their mouths they bless,
but in their hearts they curse.[b](H)
5 Yes, my soul, find rest in God;(I)
my hope comes from him.
6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
7 My salvation and my honor depend on God[c];
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.(J)
8 Trust in him at all times, you people;(K)
pour out your hearts to him,(L)
for God is our refuge.

Psalm 89:28-37
New International Version
28 I will maintain my love to him forever,
and my covenant with him will never fail.(A)
29 I will establish his line forever,
his throne as long as the heavens endure.(B)
30 “If his sons forsake my law
and do not follow my statutes,
31 if they violate my decrees
and fail to keep my commands,
32 I will punish their sin with the rod,
their iniquity with flogging;(C)
33 but I will not take my love from him,(D)
nor will I ever betray my faithfulness.
34 I will not violate my covenant
or alter what my lips have uttered.(E)
35 Once for all, I have sworn by my holiness—
and I will not lie to David—
36 that his line will continue forever
and his throne endure before me like the sun;(F)
37 it will be established forever like the moon,
the faithful witness in the sky.”(G)
Romans 5:3-11
New International Version
3 Not only so, but we[a] also glory in our sufferings,(A) because we know that suffering produces perseverance;(B) 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope(C) does not put us to shame, because God’s love(D) has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit,(E) who has been given to us.
6 You see, at just the right time,(F) when we were still powerless,(G) Christ died for the ungodly.(H) 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.(I)
9 Since we have now been justified(J) by his blood,(K) how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath(L) through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies,(M) we were reconciled(N) to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!(O) 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.(P)
