Lời Kêu Cầu Khi Bị Thất Trận và Cầu Xin Chúa Giúp Ðỡ

Giáo huấn ca của Ða-vít
Cảm tác khi ông giao chiến với A-ram Na-ha-ra-im và A-ram Xô-ba,
lúc Giô-áp trở lại đánh bại mười hai ngàn người Ê-đôm ở Thung Lũng Muối
1 Ðức Chúa Trời ôi, Ngài đã từ bỏ chúng con;
Ngài đã phá tan sự phòng vệ của chúng con;
Ngài đã giận chúng con;
Ôi, cầu xin Ngài tái lập chúng con.
2 Ngài làm đất rúng động;
Ngài khiến đất nứt ra;
Cầu xin Ngài hàn gắn những đổ vỡ,
Vì nó đang chao đảo.
3 Ngài đã cho con dân Ngài kinh nghiệm những khó khăn;
Ngài đã bắt chúng con uống thứ rượu làm cho xây xẩm.
4 Ngài đã ban một ngọn cờ cho những ai kính sợ Ngài,
Ðể vì sự thật giương nó lên. (Sê-la)
5 Xin dùng cánh tay phải Ngài cứu giúp và đáp lời chúng con,
Ðể những kẻ Ngài thương được giải cứu.
6 Ðức Chúa Trời đã phán trong nơi thánh của Ngài,
“Ta lấy làm đắc chí;
Ta sẽ chia khu Si-chem,
Và phân lô Thung Lũng Su-cốt.
7 Ghi-lê-át là của Ta;
Ma-na-se là của Ta;
Ép-ra-im là mũ an toàn của đầu Ta;
Giu-đa là vương trượng của Ta;
8 Mô-áp là chậu rửa của Ta;
Ê-đôm là chỗ Ta thảy giày mình;
Phi-li-tin là nơi Ta reo mừng chiến thắng!”
9 Ai sẽ đem con vào thành kiên cố?
Ai sẽ dẫn đưa con vào Ê-đôm?
10 Ðức Chúa Trời ôi, chẳng lẽ Ngài bỏ chúng con rồi sao?
Ðức Chúa Trời ôi, lẽ nào Ngài không đi với quân đội chúng con sao?
11 Xin giúp chúng con đối phó với quân thù,
Vì loài người giúp đỡ cũng như không.
12 Nhờ Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta sẽ chiến đấu anh dũng,
Vì chính Ngài sẽ giày đạp quân thù của chúng ta.

60 O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.
2 Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.
3 Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.
4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.
5 That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.
6 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;
8 Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.
9 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
10 Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?
11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

For the director of music. To the tune of “The Lily of the Covenant.” A miktam[b] of David. For teaching. When he fought Aram Naharaim[c] and Aram Zobah,[d] and when Joab returned and struck down twelve thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt.(B)
1 You have rejected us,(C) God, and burst upon us;
you have been angry(D)—now restore us!(E)
2 You have shaken the land(F) and torn it open;
mend its fractures,(G) for it is quaking.
3 You have shown your people desperate times;(H)
you have given us wine that makes us stagger.(I)
4 But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner(J)
to be unfurled against the bow.[e]
5 Save us and help us with your right hand,(K)
that those you love(L) may be delivered.
6 God has spoken from his sanctuary:
“In triumph I will parcel out Shechem(M)
and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.(N)
7 Gilead(O) is mine, and Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim(P) is my helmet,
Judah(Q) is my scepter.(R)
8 Moab is my washbasin,
on Edom I toss my sandal;
over Philistia I shout in triumph.(S)”
9 Who will bring me to the fortified city?
Who will lead me to Edom?
10 Is it not you, God, you who have now rejected us
and no longer go out with our armies?(T)
11 Give us aid against the enemy,
for human help is worthless.(U)
12 With God we will gain the victory,
and he will trample down our enemies.(V)
