Psalm 60:6-12

⁶ God has spoken ^(A)in his holiness:^[a]
    “With exultation ^(B)I will divide up ^(C)Shechem
    and portion out the Vale of ^(D)Succoth.
^7 (E)Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine;
    ^(F)Ephraim is ^(G)my helmet;
    Judah is my ^(H)scepter.
^8 (I)Moab is my washbasin;
    upon Edom I ^(J)cast my shoe;
    over ^(K)Philistia I shout in triumph.”^[b]

⁹ Who will bring me to the fortified city?
    ^(L)Who will lead me to Edom?
¹⁰ Have you not ^(M)rejected us, O God?
    You ^(N)do not go forth, O God, with our armies.
¹¹ Oh, grant us help against the foe,
    for ^(O)vain is the salvation of man!
¹² With God we shall ^(P)do valiantly;
    it is he who will ^(Q)tread down our foes.
