⁶ Each evening they ^(B)come back,
    howling like dogs
    and prowling about the city.
⁷ There they are, ^(C)bellowing with their mouths
    with ^(D)swords in their lips—
    for ^(E)“Who,” they think,^[a] “will hear us?”
