¹⁰ The righteous will rejoice when they see vengeance done;
    they will bathe their feet in the blood of the wicked.^(A)

“We give you thanks, Lord God Almighty,
    who are and who were,
for you have taken your great power
    and begun to reign.^(A)
18 The nations raged,
    but your wrath has come,
    and the time for judging the dead,
for rewarding your servants, the prophets
    and saints and all who fear your name,
    both small and great,
and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”^(B)

¹⁰ Let the righteous rejoice in the Lord
    and take refuge in him.
Let all the upright in heart glory.^(A)

⁴³ Praise, O heavens,^[a] his people;
    worship him, all you gods!^[b]
For he will avenge the blood of his children^[c]
    and take vengeance on his adversaries;
he will repay those who hate him^[d]
    and cleanse the land for his people.”^[e](A)
