Erbarme dich über mich!

57 Ein Lied von David, nach der Melodie: »Richte nicht zugrunde«. Es stammt aus der Zeit, als er sich auf der Flucht vor Saul in der Höhle aufhielt.^[a]

²Erbarme dich über mich, o Gott, erbarme dich!
    Bei dir suche ich Zuflucht und Schutz.
Wie ein Vogel sich unter die Flügel seiner Mutter flüchtet,
    so will ich mich bei dir bergen, bis die Gefahr vorüber ist.
³Zu Gott, dem Höchsten, schreie ich,
    zu ihm, der alles für mich zu einem guten Ende führt.
⁴Vom Himmel her wird er mir seine Hilfe schicken
und mich vor denen retten, die mir nachstellen
und mich so gehässig verleumden.
    Ja, Gott wird zu mir halten, er ist treu.
⁵Ich bin von Feinden umzingelt,
    wie Löwen lechzen sie nach Blut.
Ihre Zähne sind spitz wie Speere und Pfeile,
    ihre Zungen scharf wie geschliffene Schwerter.

⁶Gott, zeige deine Größe, die den Himmel überragt;
erweise auf der ganzen Welt deine Hoheit und Macht!

⁷Die Feinde hatten mir Fallen gestellt,
ich war völlig verzweifelt.
Mir hatten sie eine Grube gegraben,
doch nun sind sie selbst hineingestürzt!

⁸Gott, mein Herz ist voller Zuversicht,
ja, ich bin ruhig geworden im Vertrauen auf dich.
    Darum will ich singen und für dich musizieren.
⁹Alles in mir soll darin einstimmen!^[b] Harfe und Laute, wacht auf!
    Ich will den neuen Tag mit meinem Lied begrüßen.
¹⁰Herr, ich will dir danken vor den Völkern,
    vor allen Menschen will ich dir singen.
¹¹Groß ist deine Güte, sie reicht bis an den Himmel!
    Und wohin die Wolken auch ziehen: Überall ist deine Treue!

¹²Gott, zeige deine Größe, die den Himmel überragt;
erweise auf der ganzen Welt deine Hoheit und Macht!

57 ¡Ten compasión de mí, oh Dios, ten compasión de mí; pues en ti confío! Bajo la sombra de tus alas me esconderé hasta que pase la tormenta. ²Clamaré al Dios Altísimo, al Dios que cumple en mí su propósito. ³De lo alto enviará ayuda para salvarme, me librará de aquellos que quieren atraparme. Dios enviará su amor y su verdad. ⁴Estoy rodeado de leones feroces; de hombres devoradores que tienen dientes como agudas lanzas y flechas; tienen lenguas como espadas. ⁵Señor, ¡que seas exaltado por sobre los más altos cielos! Que tu gloria resplandezca sobre la tierra. ⁶Mis enemigos me han armado una trampa. Mi ánimo quedó abatido. Han cavado un hoyo en el camino, pero ellos mismos han caído dentro.

⁷Dios mío, tengo el corazón tranquilo y confiado. Con razón puedo cantar tus alabanzas. ⁸¡Despierta, alma mía! ¡Despierten, arpa y lira! Haré despertar con mis cantos al amanecer. ⁹Públicamente te expresaré mi gratitud por toda la tierra. Cantaré tus alabanzas entre las naciones. ¹⁰Amplios como los cielos son tu bondad y tu amor. Tu fidelidad llega hasta el cielo.

¹¹Que seas exaltado, oh Dios, sobre los cielos. Que tu gloria brille por toda la tierra.

¹Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me,
for in you I take refuge.^(C)
I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings^(D)
until the disaster has passed.^(E)

²I cry out to God Most High,
    to God, who vindicates me.^(F)
³He sends from heaven and saves me,^(G)
    rebuking those who hotly pursue me—^[c]^(H)
    God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.^(I)

⁴I am in the midst of lions;^(J)
I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts—
men whose teeth are spears and arrows,
whose tongues are sharp swords.^(K)

⁵Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.^(L)

⁶They spread a net for my feet^(M)—
I was bowed down^(N) in distress.
They dug a pit^(O) in my path—
but they have fallen into it themselves.^(P)

⁷My heart, O God, is steadfast,
    my heart is steadfast;^(Q)
    I will sing and make music.
⁸Awake, my soul!
    Awake, harp and lyre!^(R)
    I will awaken the dawn.

⁹I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
¹⁰For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.^(S)

57 Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

²I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.

³He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

⁴My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.

⁵Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.

⁶They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.
