Let Your Glory Be over All the Earth
To the choirmaster: according to (A)Do Not Destroy. A (B)Miktam[a] of David, when he fled from Saul, in (C)the cave.
57 (D)Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me,
for in you my soul (E)takes refuge;
in (F)the shadow of your wings I will take refuge,
(G)till the storms of destruction pass by.
2 I cry out to God Most High,
to God who (H)fulfills his purpose for me.
3 (I)He will send from heaven and save me;
he will put to shame (J)him who tramples on me. Selah
(K)God will send out (L)his steadfast love and his faithfulness!
4 My soul is in the midst of (M)lions;
I lie down amid fiery beasts—
the children of man, whose (N)teeth are spears and arrows,
whose (O)tongues are sharp swords.
5 (P)Be exalted, O God, above the heavens!
Let your glory be over all the earth!
6 They set (Q)a net for my steps;
my soul was (R)bowed down.
They (S)dug a pit in my way,
but they have fallen into it themselves. Selah
7 (T)My heart is (U)steadfast, O God,
my heart is steadfast!
I will sing and make melody!
8 (V)Awake, (W)my glory![b]
Awake, (X)O harp and lyre!
I will awake the dawn!
9 I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to you among the nations.
10 For your (Y)steadfast love is great to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the clouds.
11 (Z)Be exalted, O God, above the heavens!
Let your glory be over all the earth!

2 Apiádate de mí, oh Dios, apiádate,
que en ti pongo mi confianza;
bajo tus alas me refugiaré
hasta que pase la desgracia.
3 Invocaré al Dios Altísimo,
al Dios que es bueno conmigo.
4 Me salvará desde el cielo
y humillará a quien me acosa; [ Pausa]
¡Dios enviará su amor y verdad!
5 Estoy tendido entre leones
que devoran a seres humanos;
sus dientes son lanzas y flechas,
es su lengua una espada afilada.
6 Oh Dios, álzate sobre los cielos,
alza tu gloria sobre la tierra entera.
7 A mis pies tendieron una trampa
y todo mi ser quedó abatido;
delante de mí cavaron una fosa,
pero ellos mismos cayeron dentro. [ Pausa]
8 Mi corazón está firme, oh Dios,
se siente firme mi corazón.
Voy a cantar, voy a tocar:
9 ¡Despierta, corazón mío!
¡Despertaos, cítara y arpa,
que yo despertaré a la aurora!
10 Te alabaré entre los pueblos, Señor,
te cantaré entre las naciones,
11 pues tu amor llega hasta el cielo,
hasta el firmamento tu verdad.
12 Oh Dios, álzate sobre los cielos,
alza tu gloria sobre la tierra entera.

57 Al Músico principal: sobre No destruyas: Michtam de David, cuando huyó de delante de Saúl á la cueva. TEN misericordia de mí, oh Dios, ten misericordia de mí; Porque en ti ha confiado mi alma, Y en la sombra de tus alas me ampararé, Hasta que pasen los quebrantos.
2 Clamaré al Dios Altísimo, Al Dios que me favorece.
3 El enviará desde los cielos, y me salvará De la infamia del que me apura; (Selah) Dios enviará su misericordia y su verdad.
4 Mi vida está entre leones; Estoy echado entre hijos de hombres encendidos: Sus dientes son lanzas y saetas, Y su lengua cuchillo agudo.
5 Ensálzate sobre los cielos, oh Dios; Sobre toda la tierra tu gloria.
6 Red han armado á mis pasos; Hase abatido mi alma: Hoyo han cavado delante de mí; En medio de él han caído. (Selah.)
7 Pronto está mi corazón, oh Dios, mi corazón está dispuesto: Cantaré, y trovaré salmos.
8 Despierta, oh gloria mía; despierta, salterio y arpa: Levantaréme de mañana.
9 Alabarte he en los pueblos, oh Señor; Cantaré de ti en las naciones.
10 Porque grande es hasta los cielos tu misericordia, Y hasta las nubes tu verdad.
11 Ensálzate sobre los cielos, oh Dios; Sobre toda la tierra tu gloria.
