Psalm 52
King James Version
52 Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.
2 The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.
5 God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
6 The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:
7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
Psalmi 52
Biblija: suvremeni hrvatski prijevod
Sud nad silnicima i varalicama
Voditelju zbora.
Selah
4 Voliš riječi klevetničke,
jezik ti je pun prijevare.
5 Ali Bog će te zauvijek skršiti,
zgrabit će te, iz tvog doma istrgnuti,
iz svijeta živih te iskorijeniti. Selah
6 Pravedni će to vidjeti i zgražati se.
Smijat će ti se i govoriti:
7 »Evo silnika koji nije tražio Boga,
nego se uzdao u veliko bogatstvo
i na štetu drugih se osilio.«
8 A ja sam u Božjem Hramu kao zelena maslina,
u Božju vjernu ljubav uzdam se uvijek i zauvijek.
9 Zbog onog što si učinio, Bože,
zauvijek ću ti zahvaljivati.
Pred tvojim vjernima,
tvoje ime i dobrotu ću objavljivati.

Psalm 52
New King James Version
The End of the Wicked and the Peace of the Godly
To the Chief Musician. A [a]Contemplation of David (A)when Doeg the Edomite went and (B)told Saul, and said to him, “David has gone to the house of Ahimelech.”
52 Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man?
The goodness of God endures continually.
2 Your tongue devises destruction,
Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
3 You love evil more than good,
Lying rather than speaking righteousness. Selah
4 You love all devouring words,
You deceitful tongue.
5 God shall likewise destroy you forever;
He shall take you away, and pluck you out of your dwelling place,
And uproot you from the land of the living. Selah
6 The righteous also shall see and fear,
And shall laugh at him, saying,
7 “Here is the man who did not make God his strength,
But trusted in the abundance of his riches,
And strengthened himself in his [b]wickedness.”
8 But I am (C)like a green olive tree in the house of God;
I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.
9 I will praise You forever,
Because You have done it;
And in the presence of Your saints
I will wait on Your name, for it [c]is good.
