Psalm 50
A psalm of Asaph.
1 The Mighty One, God, the Lord,(A)
speaks and summons the earth
from the rising of the sun to where it sets.(B)
2 From Zion,(C) perfect in beauty,(D)
God shines forth.(E)
3 Our God comes(F)
and will not be silent;(G)
a fire devours(H) before him,(I)
and around him a tempest(J) rages.
4 He summons the heavens above,
and the earth,(K) that he may judge his people:(L)
5 “Gather to me this consecrated people,(M)
who made a covenant(N) with me by sacrifice.”
6 And the heavens proclaim(O) his righteousness,
for he is a God of justice.[a][b](P)
7 “Listen, my people, and I will speak;
I will testify(Q) against you, Israel:
I am God, your God.(R)
8 I bring no charges(S) against you concerning your sacrifices
or concerning your burnt offerings,(T) which are ever before me.
9 I have no need of a bull(U) from your stall
or of goats(V) from your pens,(W)
10 for every animal of the forest(X) is mine,
and the cattle on a thousand hills.(Y)
11 I know every bird(Z) in the mountains,
and the insects in the fields(AA) are mine.
12 If I were hungry I would not tell you,
for the world(AB) is mine, and all that is in it.(AC)
13 Do I eat the flesh of bulls
or drink the blood of goats?
14 “Sacrifice thank offerings(AD) to God,
fulfill your vows(AE) to the Most High,(AF)
15 and call(AG) on me in the day of trouble;(AH)
I will deliver(AI) you, and you will honor(AJ) me.”
16 But to the wicked person, God says:
“What right have you to recite my laws
or take my covenant(AK) on your lips?(AL)
17 You hate(AM) my instruction
and cast my words behind(AN) you.
18 When you see a thief, you join(AO) with him;
you throw in your lot with adulterers.(AP)
19 You use your mouth for evil
and harness your tongue to deceit.(AQ)
20 You sit and testify against your brother(AR)
and slander your own mother’s son.
21 When you did these things and I kept silent,(AS)
you thought I was exactly[c] like you.
But I now arraign(AT) you
and set my accusations(AU) before you.

Un psalm al lui Asaf
1 Dumnezeu, da Dumnezeu, Domnul,
El vorbeşte şi cheamă pământul
de la răsăritul soarelui până la apusul lui!
2 Din Sion, întruchiparea frumuseţii, străluceşte Dumnezeu!
3 Dumnezeul nostru vine şi nu tace;
un foc mistuie înaintea Lui
şi o furtună se dezlănţuie împrejurul Lui!
4 El cheamă cerurile de deasupra
şi pământul, ca să-Şi judece poporul:
5 „Adunaţi-Mi credincioşii,
pe cei ce au încheiat legământ cu Mine prin jertfă!“
6 Cerurile mărturisesc dreptatea Lui,
căci Dumnezeu este judecătorul.Sela
7 „Ia aminte, popor al Meu, şi voi vorbi!
Israele, voi mărturisi împotriva ta:
Sunt Dumnezeu, Dumnezeul tău Eu sunt!
8 Nu pentru jertfele tale te mustru Eu,
nici pentru arderile de tot care-Mi sunt aduse neîncetat.
9 Nu voi lua viţei din ograda ta,
nici ţapi din staulele tale,
10 căci ale Mele sunt toate vieţuitoarele pădurii
şi vitele de pe o mie de dealuri.
11 Eu cunosc toate înaripatele munţilor,
şi toate făpturile câmpiei sunt ale Mele!
12 Dacă Mi-ar fi foame, nu ţi-aş spune ţie,
căci a Mea este lumea cu tot ce cuprinde ea.
13 Mănânc Eu oare carnea taurilor
sau beau Eu sângele ţapilor?
14 Adu-I ca jertfă lui Dumnezeu mulţumire
şi împlineşte-ţi jurămintele faţă de Cel Preaînalt!
15 Cheamă-Mă în ziua necazului;
Eu te voi izbăvi, iar tu Mă vei proslăvi!“
16 Dumnezeu îi zice însă celui rău:
„Ce tot înşiri tu orânduirile Mele
şi ai pe buze legământul Meu,
17 când tu urăşti mustrarea
şi arunci cuvintele Mele înapoia ta?
18 Dacă vezi un hoţ, te uneşti cu el
şi te însoţeşti cu cei ce comit adulter.
19 Dai drumul gurii la rele,
limba ta urzeşte înşelăciunea.
20 Vorbeşti împotriva fratelui tău cu care locuieşti
şi pe fiul mamei tale arunci vina[a].
21 Aşa ai făcut, iar Eu am tăcut.
Ţi-ai închipuit că sigur Eu sunt ca tine,
dar te voi mustra şi îţi voi pune totul în faţă[b]!
22 Luaţi aminte la aceste lucruri, voi care Îl uitaţi pe Dumnezeu,
ca nu cumva să vă sfâşii şi să nu aibă cine să vă scape!
23 Cine aduce mulţumire ca jertfă, acela Mă proslăveşte
şi celui ce veghează asupra căii lui îi voi arăta mântuirea lui Dumnezeu[c]“.

3 Боже, помилуй меня
по Своей милости,
по великой Своей любви
изгладь мои беззакония.
4 Омой меня от неправды
и от греха очисти,
5 потому что я сознаю свои беззакония,
и грех мой всегда предо мной.
6 Против Тебя Одного я согрешил
и в Твоих глазах сделал зло.
Ты справедлив в Своем приговоре
и безупречен в суде Своем.
7 Вот, грешником я родился,
грешным зачала меня моя мать.
8 Но Ты желаешь истины, сокрытой в сердце,
так наполни меня Своей мудростью.
9 Очисти меня иссопом[b], и буду чист;
омой меня, и стану белее снега.
10 Дай мне услышать веселье и радость;
пусть порадуются кости, Тобой сокрушенные.
11 Отврати лицо от моих грехов
и неправду мою изгладь.
12 Сотвори во мне чистое сердце, Боже,
и обнови во мне правый дух.
13 Не отвергни меня от Себя
и не лиши меня Твоего Святого Духа.
14 Верни мне радость Твоего спасения
и Духом владычественным поддержи меня.
15 Тогда я научу нечестивых Твоим путям,
и грешники к Тебе обратятся.
16 Избавь меня от кровопролития, Боже,
Боже моего спасения,
и язык мой восхвалит праведность Твою.
17 Открой мне уста, Владыка,
и они Тебя возвеличат.
18 Жертва Тебе неугодна – я дал бы ее,
всесожжения Ты не желаешь.
19 Жертва Богу – дух сокрушенный;
сокрушенное и скорбящее сердце, Боже,
Ты не презришь.
20 Сотвори Сиону добро по Своей благосклонности;
заново возведи стены Иерусалима.
21 Тогда будут угодны Тебе предписанные жертвы,
возношения и всесожжения;
тогда приведут быков к Твоему жертвеннику.
