¹⁵ Call on me in the day of trouble;
    I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”^(A)

²⁸ Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
    and he brought them out from their distress;

¹⁵ When they call to me, I will answer them;
    I will be with them in trouble;
    I will rescue them and honor them.^(A)

⁹ And I will put this third into the fire,
    refine them as one refines silver,
    and test them as gold is tested.
They will call on my name,
    and I will answer them.
I will say, ‘They are my people,’
    and they will say, ‘The Lord is our God.’ ”^(A)

¹⁹ Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
    and he saved them from their distress;

⁷ In distress you called, and I rescued you;
    I answered you in the secret place of thunder;
    I tested you at the waters of Meribah. Selah^(A)

³ O magnify the Lord with me,
    and let us exalt his name together.^(A)

⁶ Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
    and he delivered them from their distress;^(A)
7 he led them by a straight way,
    until they reached an inhabited town.^(B)
8 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
    for his wonderful works to humankind.^(C)
9 For he satisfies the thirsty,
    and the hungry he fills with good things.^(D)
