Psalm 5
New International Version
Psalm 5[a]
For the director of music. For pipes. A psalm of David.
1 Listen(A) to my words, Lord,
consider my lament.(B)
2 Hear my cry for help,(C)
my King and my God,(D)
for to you I pray.
3 In the morning,(E) Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.(F)
4 For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness;
with you, evil people(G) are not welcome.
5 The arrogant(H) cannot stand(I)
in your presence.
You hate(J) all who do wrong;
6 you destroy those who tell lies.(K)
The bloodthirsty and deceitful
you, Lord, detest.
7 But I, by your great love,
can come into your house;
in reverence(L) I bow down(M)
toward your holy temple.(N)
8 Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness(O)
because of my enemies—
make your way straight(P) before me.
9 Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
their heart is filled with malice.
Their throat is an open grave;(Q)
with their tongues they tell lies.(R)
10 Declare them guilty, O God!
Let their intrigues be their downfall.
Banish them for their many sins,(S)
for they have rebelled(T) against you.
11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.(U)
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name(V) may rejoice in you.(W)

Psalm 5
Jubilee Bible 2000
To the Overcomer upon Nehiloth, A Psalm of David.
1 ¶ Give ear to my words, O LORD; consider my meditation.
2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God, for unto thee will I pray.
3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; early will I present myself unto thee and wait.
4 For thou art not a God that loves wickedness; neither shall one who is evil dwell with thee.
5 The foolish (those who are governed by carnal thoughts or desires) shall not stand in thy sight; thou dost hate all workers of iniquity.
6 Thou shalt destroy those that speak lies: the LORD will abominate the bloody and deceitful man.
7 ¶ But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear I will worship toward thy holy temple.
8 Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
9 For there is no uprightness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
10 Declare them guilty, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out for the multitude of their rebellions; for they have rebelled against thee.
11 And all those that put their trust in thee shall rejoice: they shall ever be in jubilee, for thou shalt cover them; and all that love thy name shall be joyful in thee.
12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

La protección de Dios
Himno de David. Instrucciones para el director del coro: Este himno deberá cantarse acompañado de música de flautas.
5 1-3 Mi rey y mi Dios,
escucha con atención mis palabras;
toma en cuenta mis súplicas,
escucha mi llanto,
pues a ti dirijo mi oración.
Tan pronto como amanece
te presento mis ruegos,
y quedo esperando tu respuesta.
4 A ti, Dios mío,
no te agrada la maldad.
Por eso los malvados
no pueden vivir contigo;
5 no soportas a los orgullosos
ni amas a los malhechores.
6 ¡Tú destruyes a los mentirosos,
y rechazas a los tramposos y asesinos!
7 Pero a mí me quieres tanto
que me dejas entrar en tu templo,
y allí me dejas hacer mis oraciones.
8 Dios mío,
¡enséñame a hacer el bien!
¡Llévame por el buen camino,
pues no quiero que mis enemigos
triunfen sobre mí!
9 Ellos son unos mentirosos
y sólo piensan en destruirme.
Nunca dicen la verdad,
y sólo hablan de muerte.
10 ¡No los perdones, Dios mío!
¡Haz que fracasen sus planes malvados!
Ya es mucho lo que han pecado;
¡recházalos por luchar contra ti!
11 Pero que vivan alegres
todos los que en ti confían;
¡que siempre canten de alegría
bajo tu protección!
¡Que sean felices
todos los que te aman!
12 Tú, Dios mío,
bendices al que es bueno,
y con tu amor lo proteges.
