Thơ Đa-vít Cho Nhạc Trưởng, Dùng Cho Sáo
5 Lạy CHÚA, xin lắng nghe lời tôi,
Xin chú ý đến điều tôi than thở.
2 Hỡi vua và Đức Chúa Trời tôi,
Xin hãy nghe tiếng kêu van của tôi,
Vì tôi cầu nguyện cùng Ngài.
3 Lạy CHÚA, mỗi buổi sáng Ngài nghe tiếng tôi,
Mỗi buổi sáng tôi dâng lời khẩn nguyện và trông đợi.
4 Vì Ngài không phải là Đức Chúa Trời thích điều dữ.
Kẻ ác sẽ không được ở cùng Ngài.
5 Kẻ kiêu ngạo không thể đứng nổi trước mắt Ngài.
Ngài ghét tất cả kẻ làm ác.
6 Ngài hủy diệt những kẻ dối trá,
CHÚA ghê tởm kẻ khát máu và gian hùng.
7 Còn tôi, nhờ tình thương bao la của Ngài
Tôi sẽ vào nhà Ngài;
Với lòng kính sợ,
Tôi sẽ hướng về điện thánh Ngài mà thờ phượng.
8 Lạy CHÚA, vì cớ các kẻ thù tôi,
Xin hướng dẫn tôi bằng sự công chính của Ngài,
Xin san bằng đường lối Ngài trước mặt tôi.
9 Vì nơi môi miệng chúng thiếu điều chân thật.
Lòng chúng nó bại hoại,
Cổ họng chúng nó như mồ mả mở toang,
Lưỡi chúng nó đầy lời nịnh hót.
10 Lạy Đức Chúa Trời, xin trừng trị chúng nó,
Hãy để chúng ngã trong mưu chước mình.
Xin đuổi chúng đi, vì chúng phạm nhiều tội ác;
Vì chúng đã phản nghịch cùng Ngài.
11 Nhưng tất cả những ai trú ẩn nơi Ngài sẽ mừng rỡ, ca hát mãi mãi.
Xin bảo vệ họ để những người yêu mến danh Ngài được hân hoan trong Ngài.
12 Lạy CHÚA, vì chính Ngài ban phước cho người công chính;
Lấy ơn bao phủ họ như cái khiên.

1 Listen(A) to my words, Lord,
consider my lament.(B)
2 Hear my cry for help,(C)
my King and my God,(D)
for to you I pray.
3 In the morning,(E) Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.(F)
4 For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness;
with you, evil people(G) are not welcome.
5 The arrogant(H) cannot stand(I)
in your presence.
You hate(J) all who do wrong;
6 you destroy those who tell lies.(K)
The bloodthirsty and deceitful
you, Lord, detest.
7 But I, by your great love,
can come into your house;
in reverence(L) I bow down(M)
toward your holy temple.(N)
8 Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness(O)
because of my enemies—
make your way straight(P) before me.
9 Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
their heart is filled with malice.
Their throat is an open grave;(Q)
with their tongues they tell lies.(R)
10 Declare them guilty, O God!
Let their intrigues be their downfall.
Banish them for their many sins,(S)
for they have rebelled(T) against you.
11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.(U)
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name(V) may rejoice in you.(W)

5 Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.
2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.
3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
7 But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
8 Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.
11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
12 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
