5 (Ein Psalm Davids, vorzusingen, für das Erbe.) HERR, höre meine Worte, merke auf meine Rede!
2 Vernimm mein Schreien, mein König und mein Gott; denn ich will vor dir beten.
3 HERR, frühe wollest du meine Stimme hören; frühe will ich mich zu dir schicken und aufmerken.
4 Denn du bist nicht ein Gott, dem gottloses Wesen gefällt; wer böse ist, bleibt nicht vor dir.
5 Die Ruhmredigen bestehen nicht vor deinen Augen; du bist feind allen Übeltätern.
6 Du bringst die Lügner um; der HERR hat Greuel an den Blutgierigen und Falschen.
7 Ich aber will in dein Haus gehen auf deine große Güte und anbeten gegen deinen heiligen Tempel in deiner Furcht.
8 HERR, leite mich in deiner Gerechtigkeit um meiner Feinde willen; richte deinen Weg vor mir her.
9 Denn in ihrem Munde ist nichts Gewisses; ihr Inwendiges ist Herzeleid. Ihr Rachen ist ein offenes Grab; denn mit ihren Zungen heucheln sie.
10 Sprich sie schuldig, Gott, daß sie fallen von ihrem Vornehmen. Stoße sie aus um ihrer großen Übertretungen willen; denn sie sind widerspenstig.
11 Laß sich freuen alle, die auf dich trauen; ewiglich laß sie rühmen, denn du beschirmst sie; fröhlich laß sein in dir, die deinen Namen lieben.
12 Denn du, HERR, segnest die Gerechten; du krönest sie mit Gnade wie mit einem Schild.

1 Listen(A) to my words, Lord,
consider my lament.(B)
2 Hear my cry for help,(C)
my King and my God,(D)
for to you I pray.
3 In the morning,(E) Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.(F)
4 For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness;
with you, evil people(G) are not welcome.
5 The arrogant(H) cannot stand(I)
in your presence.
You hate(J) all who do wrong;
6 you destroy those who tell lies.(K)
The bloodthirsty and deceitful
you, Lord, detest.
7 But I, by your great love,
can come into your house;
in reverence(L) I bow down(M)
toward your holy temple.(N)
8 Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness(O)
because of my enemies—
make your way straight(P) before me.
9 Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
their heart is filled with malice.
Their throat is an open grave;(Q)
with their tongues they tell lies.(R)
10 Declare them guilty, O God!
Let their intrigues be their downfall.
Banish them for their many sins,(S)
for they have rebelled(T) against you.
11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.(U)
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name(V) may rejoice in you.(W)

Trust in God for Deliverance from Enemies
To the leader: for the flutes. A Psalm of David.
1 Listen to my words, O Lord;
attend to my sighing.(A)
2 Listen to the sound of my cry,
my King and my God,
for to you I pray.(B)
3 O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice;
in the morning I plead my case to you and watch.(C)
4 For you are not a God who delights in wickedness;
evil will not sojourn with you.(D)
5 The boastful will not stand before your eyes;
you hate all evildoers.(E)
6 You destroy those who speak lies;
the Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful.(F)
7 But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love,
will enter your house;
I will bow down toward your holy temple
in awe of you.(G)
8 Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness
because of my enemies;
make your way straight before me.(H)
9 For there is no truth in their mouths;
their hearts are destruction;
their throats are open graves;
they flatter with their tongues.(I)
10 Make them bear their guilt, O God;
let them fall by their own counsels;
because of their many transgressions, cast them out,
for they have rebelled against you.(J)

5 Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.
2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.
3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
7 But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
8 Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.
11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
12 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
