Psalm 5

King James Version

5 Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.

²Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

³My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

⁴For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

⁵The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

⁶Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

⁷But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

⁸Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.

⁹For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.

¹⁰Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

¹¹But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

¹²For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

¹Listen to my words, Lord;
consider my sighing.^(A)
²Pay attention to the sound of my cry,^(B)
my King and my God,^(C)
for I pray to you.

³In the morning,^(D) Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I plead my case to you^(E) and watch expectantly.

⁴For you are not a God who delights in wickedness;
evil cannot dwell with you.^(F)
⁵The boastful cannot stand in your sight;^(G)
you hate all evildoers.^(H)
⁶You destroy those who tell lies;^(I)
the Lord abhors violent and treacherous people.^(J)

⁷But I enter your house
by the abundance of your faithful love;^(K)
I bow down toward your holy temple
in reverential awe of you.^(L)
⁸Lord, lead me in your righteousness^(M)
because of my adversaries;
make your way straight before me.^(N)

⁹For there is nothing reliable in what they say;^(O)
destruction is within them;
their throat is an open grave;
they flatter with their tongues.^(P)
¹⁰Punish them, God;
let them fall by their own schemes.^(Q)
Drive them out^(R) because of their many crimes,
for they rebel against you.^(S)

¹¹But let all who take refuge in you rejoice;^(T)
let them shout for joy forever.
May you shelter them,^(U)
and may those who love your name boast about you.^(V)
¹²For you, Lord, bless the righteous one;
you surround him with favor like a shield.^(W)

5 Escucha mis palabras, oh Señor^(A);
Considera mi lamento^(B).
²Atiende a la voz de mi clamor^(C), Rey mío y Dios mío^(D),
Porque es a Ti a quien oro.
³Oh Señor, de mañana oirás mi voz;
De mañana presentaré mi oración a Ti^(E),
Y con ansias esperaré^(F).
⁴¶Porque Tú no eres un Dios que se complace en la maldad^(G);
El mal no mora en Ti^(H).
⁵Los que se ensalzan^(I) no estarán delante de Tus ojos^(J);
Aborreces a todos los que hacen iniquidad^(K).
⁶Destruyes a los que hablan falsedad^(L);
El Señor aborrece al hombre sanguinario y engañador^(M).
⁷Pero yo, por la abundancia de Tu misericordia^(N) entraré en Tu casa;
Me postraré^(O) en Tu santo templo con reverencia^(P).
⁸¶Señor, guíame^(Q) en Tu justicia^(R) por causa de mis enemigos;
Allana delante de mí Tu camino^(S).
⁹Porque no hay sinceridad en lo que dicen^(T);
Destrucción son sus entrañas^(U),
Sepulcro abierto es su garganta;
Con su lengua hablan lisonjas^(V).
¹⁰Tenlos por culpables, oh Dios;
¡Que caigan por sus mismas intrigas^(W)!
Échalos fuera por la multitud de sus transgresiones^(X),
Porque se rebelan contra Ti^(Y).
¹¹¶Pero alégrense^(Z) todos los que en Ti se refugian^(AA);
Para siempre canten con júbilo,
Porque Tú los proteges^(AB);
Regocíjense en Ti los que aman Tu nombre^(AC).

5 耶和华啊，求你听我的祷告，
顾念我的哀叹。
²我的王，我的上帝啊！
求你垂听我的呼求，
因为我只向你祈祷。
³耶和华啊！早晨你听我的祷告。
早晨我到你面前祈求，
切切等候。
⁴你是厌恶邪恶的上帝，
恶人在你面前无立足之地。
⁵狂妄之人不能站在你面前，
你憎恶一切作恶之人。
⁶说谎的，你毁灭；
凶残诡诈的，你痛恨。
⁷因为你有无限的慈爱，
我要进入你的居所，
我要满怀敬畏地向你的圣殿下拜。
⁸耶和华啊，我的仇敌众多，
求你以公义引领我，
使我走你安排的正路。
⁹他们口中毫无实话，
心里充满恶毒，
喉咙是敞开的坟墓，
舌头上尽是诡诈。
¹⁰上帝啊，
求你定他们的罪，
让他们作茧自缚。
他们背叛你，罪恶深重，
求你把他们赶走。
¹¹愿投靠你的人欢歌不断。
求你庇护他们，
让爱你的人因你而喜乐。
¹²耶和华啊，你必赐福给义人，

¹Listen^(A) to my words, Lord,
    consider my lament.^(B)
²Hear my cry for help,^(C)
    my King and my God,^(D)
    for to you I pray.

³In the morning,^(E) Lord, you hear my voice;
    in the morning I lay my requests before you
    and wait expectantly.^(F)
⁴For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness;
    with you, evil people^(G) are not welcome.
⁵The arrogant^(H) cannot stand^(I)
    in your presence.
You hate^(J) all who do wrong;
⁶    you destroy those who tell lies.^(K)
The bloodthirsty and deceitful
    you, Lord, detest.
⁷But I, by your great love,
    can come into your house;
in reverence^(L) I bow down^(M)
    toward your holy temple.^(N)

⁸Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness^(O)
    because of my enemies—
    make your way straight^(P) before me.
⁹Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
    their heart is filled with malice.
Their throat is an open grave;^(Q)
    with their tongues they tell lies.^(R)
¹⁰Declare them guilty, O God!
    Let their intrigues be their downfall.
Banish them for their many sins,^(S)
    for they have rebelled^(T) against you.
¹¹But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
    let them ever sing for joy.^(U)
Spread your protection over them,
    that those who love your name^(V) may rejoice in you.^(W)

¹²Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;^(X)
you surround them^(Y) with your favor as with a shield.^(Z)
