⁵ The Lord ^(A)tests the righteous,
    but ^(B)his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.

¹³ Surely ^(A)the righteous shall give thanks to your name;
    ^(B)the upright shall dwell in your presence.

²¹ These things you have done, and I ^(A)have been silent;
    you thought that I^[a] was one like yourself.
But now I ^(B)rebuke you and ^(C)lay the charge before you.

¹³ You who are ^(A)of purer eyes than to see evil
    and cannot look at wrong,
^(B)why do you idly look at traitors
    and ^(C)remain silent when the wicked swallows up
    the man more righteous than he?

^15 (A)to declare that the Lord is upright;
    he is my ^(B)rock, and there is ^(C)no unrighteousness in him.
