³⁷ Blessed are those slaves whom the master will find ^(A)on the alert when he comes; truly I say to you, that ^(B)he will ^[a]prepare himself to serve, and have them recline at the table, and he will come up and serve them. ^38 (C)Whether he comes in the ^[b]second watch, or even in the ^[c]third, and finds them so, blessed are those slaves.

The Garden of Gethsemane

^36 (A)Then Jesus *came with them to a place called ^[a](B)Gethsemane, and *told His disciples, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”

³⁸ Then He *said to them, “^(A)My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and ^(B)keep watch with Me.”

⁴⁰ And He *came to the disciples and *found them sleeping, and He *said to Peter, “So, you men could not ^(A)keep watch with Me for one hour? ^41 (B)Keep watching and praying, so that you do not come into temptation; ^(C)the spirit is ^[a]willing, but the flesh is weak.”
