Psalm 49:11-13

11 Their graves are their permanent homes,[a]
their dwellings from generation to generation,
though they have named estates after themselves.(A)
12 But despite his assets,[b] mankind will not last;
he is like the animals that perish.(B)

13 This is the way of those who are arrogant,
and of their followers,
who approve of their words.[c](C) Selah

12 Nevertheless man, though in honor, does not [b]remain;
He is like the beasts that perish.
