Psalm 49:10-15
English Standard Version
10 For he sees (A)that even the wise die;
(B)the fool and the stupid alike must perish
and (C)leave their wealth to others.
11 Their (D)graves are their homes forever,[a]
their dwelling places (E)to all generations,
though they (F)called lands by their own names.
12 Man in his pomp (G)will not remain;
(H)he is like the beasts that perish.
13 This is the path of those who have (I)foolish confidence;
yet after them people approve of their boasts.[b] Selah
14 Like sheep they are appointed for Sheol;
death shall be their shepherd,
and the upright (J)shall rule over them in the morning.
(K)Their form shall be consumed (L)in Sheol, with no place to dwell.
15 But God will (M)ransom my soul from the power of Sheol,
for he will (N)receive me. Selah

The Death of Jesus
33 And when the sixth hour[a] had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.[b] 34 And at the ninth hour Jesus (A)cried with a loud voice, (B)“Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” 35 And some of the bystanders hearing it said, “Behold, he is calling Elijah.” 36 And someone ran and filled a sponge with (C)sour wine, put it on a reed (D)and gave it to him to drink, saying, “Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down.” 37 And Jesus (E)uttered a loud cry and (F)breathed his last. 38 And (G)the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. 39 (H)And when the centurion, who stood facing him, saw that in this way he[c] breathed his last, he said, (I)“Truly this man was the Son[d] of God!”
