God Is King of All the Earth

For the choir director. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm.

47 O (A)clap your hands, all peoples;
(B)Make a loud shout to God with the sound of a shout of [a]joy.
For Yahweh Most High is [b](C)fearsome,
A (D)great King over all the earth.
He (E)subdues peoples under us
And nations under our feet.
He chooses our (F)inheritance for us,
The (G)pride of Jacob whom He loves. [c]Selah.

God has (H)ascended [d]with a loud shout,
Yahweh, [e]with the (I)sound of a trumpet.
(J)Sing praises to God, sing praises;
Sing praises to (K)our King, sing praises.
For God is the (L)King of all the earth;
Sing praises (M)with a [f]skillful psalm.
God (N)reigns over the nations,
God [g]sits on (O)His holy throne.
The (P)nobles of the peoples have assembled themselves with the (Q)people of the God of Abraham,
For the (R)shields of the earth belong to God;
He [h]is (S)highly exalted.

47 (47:1) Au chef des chantres. Des fils de Koré. Psaume. (47:2) Vous tous, peuples, battez des mains! Poussez vers Dieu des cris de joie!

(47:3) Car l'Éternel, le Très Haut, est redoutable, Il est un grand roi sur toute la terre.

(47:4) Il nous assujettit des peuples, Il met des nations sous nos pieds;

(47:5) Il nous choisit notre héritage, La gloire de Jacob qu'il aime. -Pause.

(47:6) Dieu monte au milieu des cris de triomphe, L'Éternel s'avance au son de la trompette.

(47:7) Chantez à Dieu, chantez! Chantez à notre roi, chantez!

(47:8) Car Dieu est roi de toute la terre: Chantez un cantique!

(47:9) Dieu règne sur les nations, Dieu a pour siège son saint trône.

(47:10) Les princes des peuples se réunissent Au peuple du Dieu d'Abraham; Car à Dieu sont les boucliers de la terre: Il est souverainement élevé.

47 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.

He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.

Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.

The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

Clap your hands,(A) all you nations;
    shout to God with cries of joy.(B)

For the Lord Most High(C) is awesome,(D)
    the great King(E) over all the earth.
He subdued(F) nations under us,
    peoples under our feet.
He chose our inheritance(G) for us,
    the pride of Jacob,(H) whom he loved.[b]

    the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.(K)
Sing praises(L) to God, sing praises;

    God is seated on his holy throne.(P)
The nobles of the nations assemble
    as the people of the God of Abraham,
for the kings[c] of the earth belong to God;(Q)
