God Our Refuge

46 God is our refuge and strength,
a helper who is always found
in times of trouble.(B)
2 Therefore we will not be afraid,
though the earth trembles
and the mountains topple
into the depths of the seas,(C)
3 though its water roars and foams
and the mountains quake with its turmoil.(D) Selah
4 There is a river –
its streams delight the city of God,
the holy dwelling place of the Most High.(E)
5 God is within her; she will not be toppled.
God will help her when the morning dawns.(F)
6 Nations rage, kingdoms topple;
the earth melts when he lifts his voice.(G)
7 The Lord of Armies is with us;
the God of Jacob is our stronghold.(H) Selah
8 Come, see the works of the Lord,
who brings devastation on the earth.(I)
9 He makes wars cease throughout the earth.
He shatters bows and cuts spears to pieces;
he sets carts ablaze.(J)
10 ‘Stop fighting, and know that I am God,
exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth.’(K)
11 The Lord of Armies is with us;
the God of Jacob is our stronghold.(L) Selah

God Is Our Fortress

46 God is our (C)refuge and strength,
a very (D)present[b] help in (E)trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear (F)though the earth give way,
though the mountains be moved into (G)the heart of the sea,
3 though (H)its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah
4 There is (I)a river whose streams make glad (J)the city of God,
the holy (K)habitation of the Most High.
5 (L)God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved;
God will help her when morning dawns.
6 (M)The nations rage, the kingdoms totter;
he (N)utters his voice, the earth (O)melts.
7 (P)The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
8 (Q)Come, behold the works of the Lord,
how he has brought desolations on the earth.
9 (R)He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
he (S)breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
(T)he burns the chariots with fire.
10 (U)“Be still, and know that I am God.
(V)I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
11 (W)The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

46 Dios es nuestro amparo y nuestra fuerza, nuestra pronta ayuda en tiempos de tribulación. 2 Por eso no temeremos aunque el mundo se desintegre y los montes se derrumben y caigan al mar. 3 ¡Que rujan los océanos espumantes! ¡Que las montañas se hundan en el mar!
4 Un río de gozo fluye a través de la ciudad de nuestro Dios, de la santa morada del Dios Altísimo. 5 Dios mismo habita en aquella ciudad, la cual por tanto se mantiene firme. Dios lo protegerá al rayar el alba. 6 Las naciones se alborotan y tambalean los reinos, pero cuando Dios habla, la tierra se funde.
7 El Señor Todopoderoso está aquí entre nosotros; nuestro refugio es el Dios de Jacob. 8 ¡Vengan! ¡Vean las gloriosas hazañas de nuestro Dios; vean cómo derrama ruina sobre el mundo; hace cesar 9 las guerras por todo el mundo; rompe y quema todas las armas! 10 ¡Silencio! ¡Sepan que yo soy Dios! ¡Todas las naciones del mundo me honrarán!
11 ¡Aquí, entre nosotros, está el Señor Todopoderoso! ¡Nuestro refugio es él, el Dios de Jacob!
