Psalm 46:2-11
New International Version
2 Therefore we will not fear,(A) though the earth give way(B)
and the mountains fall(C) into the heart of the sea,(D)
3 though its waters roar(E) and foam(F)
and the mountains quake(G) with their surging.[a]
4 There is a river(H) whose streams(I) make glad the city of God,(J)
the holy place where the Most High(K) dwells.(L)
5 God is within her,(M) she will not fall;(N)
God will help(O) her at break of day.
6 Nations(P) are in uproar,(Q) kingdoms(R) fall;
he lifts his voice,(S) the earth melts.(T)
8 Come and see what the Lord has done,(Y)
the desolations(Z) he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars(AA) cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow(AB) and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields[b] with fire.(AC)
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;(AD)
I will be exalted(AE) among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
