The Parable of the Hidden Treasure

⁴⁴ “The kingdom of heaven ^(A)is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy ^(B)he goes and sells all that he has and ^(C)buys that field.

The Parable of the Pearl of Great Value

⁴⁵ “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, ⁴⁶ who, on finding ^(D)one pearl of great value, ^(E)went and sold all that he had and ^(F)bought it.

The Parable of the Net

⁴⁷ “Again, the kingdom of heaven is ^(G)like a net that was thrown into the sea and ^(H)gathered fish of every kind. ⁴⁸ When it was full, ^(I)men drew it ashore and sat down and sorted the good into containers but threw away the bad.

³⁰ And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’

The Parable of the Lost Coin

⁸ “Or what woman, having ten silver coins,^[a] if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and seek diligently until she finds it? ⁹ And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.’ ¹⁰ Just so, I tell you, there is joy before ^(A)the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Behold, the Lamb of God

²⁹ The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, ^(A)the Lamb of God, who ^(B)takes away the sin ^(C)of the world!

¹⁵ The woman said to him, “Sir, ^(A)give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.”

^31 (A)Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, ^(B)‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’” ³² Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. ³³ For the bread of God is ^(C)he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” ³⁴ They said to him, ^(D)“Sir, give us this bread always.”

³⁵ Jesus said to them, ^(E)“I am the bread of life; ^(F)whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.

²⁸ When ^(A)all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that ^(B)God may be all in all.
