    Forget your people^(C) and your father’s house.
¹¹ Let the king be enthralled by your beauty;^(D)
    honor^(E) him, for he is your lord.^(F)
12 The city of Tyre^(G) will come with a gift,^[a](H)
    people of wealth will seek your favor.
¹³ All glorious^(I) is the princess within her chamber;
    her gown is interwoven with gold.^(J)
14 In embroidered garments^(K) she is led to the king;^(L)
    her virgin companions^(M) follow her—
    those brought to be with her.
¹⁵ Led in with joy and gladness,^(N)
    they enter the palace of the king.

¹⁶ Your sons will take the place of your fathers;
    you will make them princes^(O) throughout the land.

¹⁷ I will perpetuate your memory through all generations;^(P)
    therefore the nations will praise you^(Q) for ever and ever.^(R)

⁸ The Lord is gracious and compassionate,^(A)
    slow to anger and rich in love.^(B)

⁹ The Lord is good^(C) to all;
    he has compassion^(D) on all he has made.
¹⁰ All your works praise you,^(E) Lord;
    your faithful people extol^(F) you.^(G)
11 They tell of the glory of your kingdom^(H)
    and speak of your might,^(I)
12 so that all people may know of your mighty acts^(J)
    and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.^(K)
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,^(L)
    and your dominion endures through all generations.

The Lord is trustworthy^(M) in all he promises^(N)
    and faithful in all he does.^[a]
14 The Lord upholds^(O) all who fall
    and lifts up all^(P) who are bowed down.^(Q)
