Psalm 43[a]
1 Vindicate me, my God,
and plead my cause(A)
against an unfaithful nation.
Rescue me(B) from those who are
deceitful and wicked.(C)
2 You are God my stronghold.
Why have you rejected(D) me?
Why must I go about mourning,(E)
oppressed by the enemy?(F)
3 Send me your light(G) and your faithful care,(H)
let them lead me;(I)
let them bring me to your holy mountain,(J)
to the place where you dwell.(K)
4 Then I will go(L) to the altar(M) of God,
to God, my joy(N) and my delight.(O)
I will praise you with the lyre,(P)
O God, my God.
5 Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.(Q)

1 Fă-mi(A) dreptate, Dumnezeule, apără-mi(B) pricina împotriva unui neam nemilos!
Izbăveşte-mă de oamenii plini de vicleşug şi de fărădelege!
2 Tu eşti Dumnezeul care mă ocroteşte(C): pentru ce mă lepezi?
Pentru ce(D) trebuie să umblu plin de întristare sub apăsarea vrăjmaşului?
3 Trimite(E) lumina şi credincioşia Ta ca să mă călăuzească,
şi să mă ducă la muntele(F) Tău cel sfânt
şi la locaşurile Tale!
4 Atunci voi merge la altarul lui Dumnezeu,
la altarul lui Dumnezeu care este bucuria şi veselia mea,
şi Te voi lăuda cu harpa, Dumnezeule, Dumnezeul meu!
5 Pentru ce(G) te mâhneşti, suflete, şi gemi înăuntrul meu?
Nădăjduieşte în Dumnezeu, căci iarăşi Îl voi lăuda:
El este mântuirea mea şi Dumnezeul meu.

And (B)plead my cause against an ungodly nation;
Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!
2 For You are the God of my strength;
Why do You cast me off?
(C)Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
3 (D)Oh, send out Your light and Your truth!
Let them lead me;
Let them bring me to (E)Your holy hill
And to Your [a]tabernacle.
4 Then I will go to the altar of God,
To God my exceeding joy;
And on the harp I will praise You,
O God, my God.
5 (F)Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God;
For I shall yet praise Him,
The [b]help of my countenance and my God.
