⁶ Many, Lord, are asking, “Who will bring us prosperity?”
    Let the light of your face shine on us.^(A)
7 Fill my heart^(B) with joy^(C)
    when their grain and new wine^(D) abound.

⁸ In peace^(E) I will lie down and sleep,^(F)
    for you alone, Lord,
    make me dwell in safety.^(G)

¹¹ You make known to me the path of life;^(A)
    you will fill me with joy in your presence,^(B)
    with eternal pleasures^(C) at your right hand.^(D)

⁵ For in the day of trouble^(A)
    he will keep me safe^(B) in his dwelling;
he will hide me^(C) in the shelter of his sacred tent
    and set me high upon a rock.^(D)

    above the enemies who surround me;^(F)
at his sacred tent I will sacrifice^(G) with shouts of joy;^(H)
    I will sing^(I) and make music^(J) to the Lord.
