Psalm 38:15-22

New International Version

¹⁵ Lord, I wait^(A) for you;
    you will answer,^(B) Lord my God.
¹⁶ For I said, “Do not let them gloat^(C)
    or exalt themselves over me when my feet slip.”^(D)

¹⁷ For I am about to fall,^(E)
    and my pain^(F) is ever with me.
¹⁸ I confess my iniquity;^(G)
    I am troubled by my sin.
¹⁹ Many have become my enemies^(H) without cause^[a];
    those who hate me^(I) without reason^(J) are numerous.
²⁰ Those who repay my good with evil^(K)
    lodge accusations^(L) against me,
    though I seek only to do what is good.

²¹ Lord, do not forsake me;^(M)
    do not be far^(N) from me, my God.
²² Come quickly^(O) to help me,^(P)
    my Lord and my Savior.^(Q)
