Psalm 37:22-29

New International Version

²² those the Lord blesses will inherit the land,
    but those he curses^(A) will be destroyed.^(B)

²³ The Lord makes firm the steps^(C)
    of the one who delights^(D) in him;
²⁴ though he may stumble, he will not fall,^(E)
    for the Lord upholds^(F) him with his hand.

²⁵ I was young and now I am old,
    yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken^(G)
    or their children begging^(H) bread.
²⁶ They are always generous and lend freely;^(I)
    their children will be a blessing.^[a](J)

²⁷ Turn from evil and do good;^(K)
    then you will dwell in the land forever.^(L)
28 For the Lord loves the just
    and will not forsake his faithful ones.^(M)

Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed^[b];
    the offspring of the wicked will perish.^(N)
29 The righteous will inherit the land^(O)
    and dwell in it forever.^(P)
