Psalm 33
1 Sing joyfully(A) to the Lord, you righteous;
it is fitting(B) for the upright(C) to praise him.
2 Praise the Lord with the harp;(D)
make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.(E)
3 Sing to him a new song;(F)
play skillfully, and shout for joy.(G)
4 For the word of the Lord is right(H) and true;(I)
he is faithful(J) in all he does.
5 The Lord loves righteousness and justice;(K)
the earth is full of his unfailing love.(L)
6 By the word(M) of the Lord the heavens were made,(N)
their starry host(O) by the breath of his mouth.
7 He gathers the waters(P) of the sea into jars[a];(Q)
he puts the deep into storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord;(R)
let all the people of the world(S) revere him.(T)
9 For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded,(U) and it stood firm.
10 The Lord foils(V) the plans(W) of the nations;(X)
he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
11 But the plans of the Lord stand firm(Y) forever,
the purposes(Z) of his heart through all generations.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,(AA)
the people he chose(AB) for his inheritance.(AC)
13 From heaven the Lord looks down(AD)
and sees all mankind;(AE)
14 from his dwelling place(AF) he watches
all who live on earth—
15 he who forms(AG) the hearts of all,
who considers everything they do.(AH)
16 No king is saved by the size of his army;(AI)
no warrior escapes by his great strength.
17 A horse(AJ) is a vain hope for deliverance;
despite all its great strength it cannot save.
18 But the eyes(AK) of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,(AL)
19 to deliver them from death(AM)
and keep them alive in famine.(AN)

Herren regerar
33 Ni alla rättfärdiga, låt er glädje välla fram i lovprisning till Herren, för det är rätt att prisa honom!
2 Spela lovsånger på stränginstrument och harpor!
3 Sjung nya sånger för honom, spela på alla era instrument och sjung av glädje!
4 Allt vad Herren säger det menar han, och allt han gör kan man lita på.
5 Han älskar allt som är gott och rätt. Överallt på jorden kan man njuta av hans godhet.
6 Han uttalade bara ett ord, och himlen formades. Solen, månen och stjärnorna kom till på hans befallning.
7 Han samlade haven till en plats, och han fyllde havsdjupen med deras vatten.
8 Alla i hela världen, män, kvinnor och barn, frukta Herren och visa vördnad för honom.
9 När han talade skapades världen. Den kom till på hans befallning.
10 Med ett enda andetag kan han förgöra alla planer som smids av dem som står emot honom,
11 men hans egen plan består för evigt. Hans avsikter är desamma generation efter generation.
12 Välsignat är det folk vars Gud Herren är, det folk som han har utvalt till sitt eget!
13-15 Från himlen där Herren bor, ser han varje människa. Han har skapat människornas hjärtan och vakar noggrant över allt de gör.
16-17 Inte ens den mest välrustade armé kan rädda en kung, för enbart styrka är inte tillräckligt för att rädda någon. En enda stridshäst räcker inte för att vinna seger. Den är stark, men den kan inte rädda någon.
18-19 Men Herren beskyddar alla som lyder honom, och som litar på hans ständiga kärlek. Han håller dem vid liv, även under hungersnöd!
20 Vi sätter vårt hopp till Herren, för han ska rädda oss.
21 Undra inte på att vi är lyckliga i Herren! Vi litar på hans heliga namn!
22 Ja, Herre, låt din ständiga kärlek omge oss, för vi hoppas bara på dig!

33 Alegraos, oh justos, en Jehová;
A los rectos les va bien la alabanza.
2 Aclamad a Jehová con arpa;
Cantadle con salterio y decacordio.
3 Cantadle cántico nuevo;
Hacedlo bien, tañendo con júbilo.
4 Porque recta es la palabra de Jehová,
Y toda su obra es hecha con fidelidad.
5 Él ama la justicia y el derecho;
De la misericordia de Jehová está llena la tierra.
6 Por la palabra de Jehová fueron hechos los cielos,
Y todo el ejército de ellos por el aliento de su boca.
7 Él junta como montón las aguas del mar;
Él pone en depósitos los abismos.
8 Tema a Jehová toda la tierra;
Teman delante de él todos los habitantes del mundo.
9 Porque él dijo, y fue hecho;
Él mandó, y así fue.
10 Jehová frustra el plan de las naciones,
Y anula las maquinaciones de los pueblos.
11 Pero el consejo de Jehová permanecerá para siempre;
Los designios de su corazón por todas las generaciones.
12 Bienaventurada la nación cuyo Dios es Jehová,
El pueblo que él escogió como heredad para sí.
13 Desde lo alto de los cielos mira Jehová;
Ve a todos los hijos de los hombres;
14 Desde el lugar de su morada observa
A todos los moradores de la tierra.
15 Él modeló el corazón de cada uno,
Y conoce a fondo todas sus acciones.
16 El rey no se salva por la multitud del ejército,
Ni escapa el valiente por la mucha fuerza.
17 Inútil para salvarse es el caballo;
La grandeza de su vigor a nadie podrá librar.
18 He aquí el ojo de Jehová está sobre los que le temen,
Sobre los que esperan en su misericordia,
19 Para librar sus almas de la muerte,
Y para sostenerles la vida en tiempo de hambre.
20 Nuestra alma espera en Jehová;
Nuestra ayuda y nuestro escudo es él.
21 Pues en él se alegrará nuestro corazón,
Porque en su santo nombre hemos confiado.
22 Sea tu misericordia, oh Jehová, sobre nosotros,
Según esperamos en ti.
