33 Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.

Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.

For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.

He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

10 The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

13 The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.

21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

22 Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

The Sovereignty of the Lord in Creation and History

33 Rejoice (A)in the Lord, O you righteous!
For praise from the upright is beautiful.
Praise the Lord with the harp;
[a]Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings.
Sing to Him a new song;
Play skillfully with a shout of joy.

For the word of the Lord is right,
And all His work is done in truth.
He loves righteousness and justice;
The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

(B)By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
And all the (C)host of them (D)by the breath of His mouth.
(E)He gathers the waters of the sea together [b]as a heap;
He lays up the deep in storehouses.

Let all the earth fear the Lord;
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
For (F)He spoke, and it was done;
He commanded, and it stood fast.

10 (G)The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing;
He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.
11 (H)The counsel of the Lord stands forever,
The plans of His heart to all generations.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people He has (I)chosen as His own inheritance.

13 (J)The Lord looks from heaven;
He sees all the sons of men.
14 From the place of His dwelling He looks
On all the inhabitants of the earth;
15 He fashions their hearts individually;
(K)He [c]considers all their works.

16 (L)No king is saved by the multitude of an army;
A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
17 (M)A horse is a [d]vain hope for safety;
Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength.

18 (N)Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope in His mercy,
19 To deliver their soul from death,
And (O)to keep them alive in famine.

20 Our soul waits for the Lord;
He is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart shall rejoice in Him,
Because we have trusted in His holy name.
22 Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us,
Just as we hope in You.

Ca ngợi Chúa là Đấng sáng tạo và cứu rỗi

33 Hỡi những người làm điều ngay thẳng,
    hãy hát tôn vinh CHÚA;
    và những ai lương thiện hãy ca ngợi Ngài.
Hãy dùng đờn cầm mà ca ngợi CHÚA;
    hát khen Ngài bằng đờn sắt mười dây.
Hãy hát một bài ca mới [a] cho Ngài;
    hãy dạo đờn thật hay và thật vui.
Lời CHÚA rất chân thật,
    mọi việc Ngài làm đều thành tín.
Ngài chuộng sự công bình và ngay thẳng;
    tình yêu Ngài phủ đầy cả đất.
Trời đất được tạo nên do lời phán của Ngài.
Do hơi thở từ miệng Ngài,
    các ngôi sao xuất hiện.
Ngài gom nước lại thành một khối;
    và đặt nước biển trong kho chứa.
Khắp đất nên thờ phụng Ngài;
    muôn dân nên kính sợ Ngài.
Ngài phán, thì sự vật liền có.
    Ngài ra lệnh, sự vật liền xuất hiện [b].
10 CHÚA làm đảo lộn mưu kế các quốc gia;
    phá hỏng mọi chương trình của họ.
11 Nhưng những kế hoạch CHÚA còn muôn đời;
    các chương trình của Ngài tồn tại mãi mãi.
    Không chiến sĩ nào thoát chết nhờ sức mạnh.
17 Ngựa không mang lại chiến thắng;
    sức mạnh chúng chẳng cứu được ai.
