a warrior will not be rescued by great strength.(A)

and to keep them alive in famine.(D)
20 We wait for the Lord;(E)
he is our help and shield.(F)
21 For our hearts rejoice in him(G)
because we trust in his holy name.(H)

for we put our hope in you.(I)

15 Proclaim these things; encourage and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard[a] you.
Christian Living among Outsiders
3 Remind them to submit(E) to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, 2 to slander no one, to avoid fighting, and to be kind, always showing gentleness(F) to all people. 3 For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by various passions(G) and pleasures,(H) living in malice and envy, hateful, detesting one another.
4 But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love for mankind appeared,(I) 5 he saved us(J)—not by works of righteousness that we had done,(K) but according to his mercy(L)—through the washing of regeneration(M) and renewal by the Holy Spirit.(N) 6 He poured out his Spirit on us abundantly(O) through Jesus Christ our Savior 7 so that, having been justified by his grace,(P) we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.(Q)
