²³ Love the Lord, all you his ^(A)saints!
    The Lord preserves the faithful
    but abundantly ^(B)repays the one who acts in pride.

²⁸ For the Lord ^(A)loves justice;
    he will not forsake his ^(B)saints.
They are preserved for ever,
    but the children of the wicked shall be ^(C)cut off.

⁴ Behold, he who keeps Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.

²⁰ The Lord ^(A)preserves all who love him,
    but all the wicked he will destroy.

⁸ guarding the paths of justice
    and ^(A)watching over the way of his ^(B)saints.
