GOD’S WORD Translation
A psalm by David sung at the dedication of the temple.
30 I will honor you highly, O Lord,
because you have pulled me out ⌞of the pit⌟
and have not let my enemies rejoice over me.
2 O Lord my God,
I cried out to you for help,
and you healed me.
3 O Lord, you brought me up from the grave.
You called me back to life
from among those who had gone into the pit.
4 Make music to praise the Lord, you faithful people who belong to him.
Remember his holiness by giving thanks.
5 His anger lasts only a moment.
His favor lasts a lifetime.
Weeping may last for the night,
but there is a song of joy in the morning.
6 When all was well with me, I said,
“I will never be shaken.”
7 O Lord, by your favor you have made my mountain stand firm.
When you hid your face, I was terrified.
8 I will cry out to you, O Lord.
I will plead to the Lord for mercy:
9 “How will you profit if my blood is shed,
if I go into the pit?
Will the dust ⌞of my body⌟ give thanks to you?
Will it tell about your truth?”
10 Hear, O Lord, and have pity on me!
O Lord, be my helper!
11 You have changed my sobbing into dancing.
You have removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy
12 so that my soul [a] may praise you with music and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever.

1 I will exalt(A) you, Lord,
for you lifted me out of the depths(B)
and did not let my enemies gloat over me.(C)
2 Lord my God, I called to you for help,(D)
and you healed me.(E)
3 You, Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead;(F)
you spared me from going down to the pit.(G)
4 Sing(H) the praises of the Lord, you his faithful people;(I)
praise his holy name.(J)
5 For his anger(K) lasts only a moment,(L)
but his favor lasts a lifetime;(M)
weeping(N) may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.(O)
6 When I felt secure, I said,
“I will never be shaken.”(P)
7 Lord, when you favored me,
you made my royal mountain[c] stand firm;
but when you hid your face,(Q)
I was dismayed.

2 На Тебя, Вечный, я уповаю;
не дай мне быть постыженным никогда;
по Своей праведности спаси меня.
3 Услышь меня
и поспеши избавить.
Будь мне скалой и прибежищем,
надёжной крепостью, в которой спасусь.
4 Ты моя скала и крепость;
ради имени Своего веди меня и направляй.
5 Высвободи меня из сети, которую расставили для меня,
ведь Ты моё прибежище.
6 В Твои руки я отдаю мой дух;
избавь меня, Вечный, верный Бог.
7 Ненавижу тех, кто ничтожных идолов чтит;
я лишь на Вечного надеюсь.
8 Я возрадуюсь и возликую о милости Твоей,
потому что Ты горе моё увидел
и узнал о скорби моей души.
9 Ты не отдал меня врагу,
но поставил меня на безопасное место.
10 Мне трудно, Вечный! Помилуй меня!
Ослабли от скорби глаза мои,
душа моя и тело моё.
11 В скорби кончается моя жизнь
и годы мои – в стенаниях.
Сила моя иссякла из-за моих грехов,
и кости мои иссохли.
12 Из-за своих врагов
я в презрении у соседей.
Для друзей я стал страшилищем;
кто увидит меня на улице – убегает.
13 Я забыт ими, словно мёртвый;
я – как сосуд разбитый.
14 Слышу я клевету от многих;
ужас меня окружил.
Они сговариваются против меня:
замышляют отнять у меня жизнь.
15 Вечный, на Тебя надеюсь!
Я говорю: «Ты мой Бог!»
16 В Твоей руке мои дни;
избавь меня от врагов
и от тех, кто меня преследует.
17 Да озарит раба Твоего свет лица Твоего;
спаси меня по Своей милости.
18 Пусть не постыжусь я, Вечный,
что взываю к Тебе.
Пусть нечестивые постыдятся
и, онемев, сойдут в мир мёртвых.
19 Пусть умолкнут их лживые уста,
что дерзко говорят о праведных,
с гордыней и презрением.
20 Как велики Твои блага,
что хранишь Ты для тех, кто Тебя боится,
которые даришь у всех на глазах
тем, кто ищет у Тебя прибежища!
21 Ты скрываешь их пологом Своего присутствия
от козней людских.
Ты охраняешь их в Своём жилище
от языков сварливых.
22 Хвала Вечному,
Который явил мне чудесную милость Свою,
когда я был в городе осаждённом.
23 В смятении я думал:
«Неужели я от Тебя отлучён?»
Но Ты услышал мою молитву,
когда я взывал к Тебе.
24 Любите Вечного, благочестивый Его народ!
Вечный хранит верных,
но сполна воздаёт надменным.
25 Мужайтесь и сердце своё укрепите,
все надеющиеся на Вечного.

30 I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.
2 O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.
3 O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
4 Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.
7 Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
8 I cried to thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made supplication.
9 What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
10 Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper.
11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
