Psalm 29-32

³ The ^(C)voice of the Lord is upon the waters;
The God of glory ^(D)thunders,
The Lord is over ^[d](E)many waters.
⁴ The voice of the Lord is ^(F)powerful,
The voice of the Lord is majestic.
⁵ The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
Yes, the Lord breaks in pieces ^(G)the cedars of Lebanon.
⁶ He makes Lebanon ^(H)skip like a calf,
And ^(I)Sirion like a young wild ox.
⁷ The voice of the Lord hews out ^[e]flames of fire.
⁸ The voice of the Lord ^[f]shakes the wilderness;
The Lord shakes the wilderness of ^(J)Kadesh.
⁹ The voice of the Lord makes ^(K)the deer to calve
And strips the forests bare;
And ^(L)in His temple everything says, “Glory!”

¹⁰ The Lord sat as King at the ^(M)flood;
Yes, the Lord sits as ^(N)King forever.
^11 [g]The Lord will give ^(O)strength to His people;
^[h]The Lord will bless His people with ^(P)peace.

⁶ Now as for me, I said in my prosperity,
“I will ^(AE)never be moved.”
⁷ O Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain to stand strong;
You ^(AF)hid Your face, I was dismayed.
⁸ To You, O Lord, I called,
And to the Lord I made supplication:
⁹ “What profit is there in my blood, if I ^(AG)go down to the pit?
Will the ^(AH)dust praise You? Will it declare Your faithfulness?

¹⁰ “^(AI)Hear, O Lord, and be gracious to me;
O Lord, be my ^(AJ)helper.”
¹¹ You have turned for me ^(AK)my mourning into dancing;
You have ^(AL)loosed my sackcloth and girded me with ^(AM)gladness,
¹² That my ^[l](AN)soul may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will ^(AO)give thanks to You forever.

⁶ I hate those who ^(BB)regard ^[p]vain idols,
But I ^(BC)trust in the Lord.
⁷ I will ^(BD)rejoice and be glad in Your lovingkindness,
Because You have ^(BE)seen my affliction;
You have known the troubles of my soul,
⁸ And You have not ^(BF)given me over into the hand of the enemy;
You have set my feet in a large place.

⁹ Be gracious to me, O Lord, for ^(BG)I am in distress;
My ^(BH)eye is wasted away from grief, ^(BI)my soul and my body also.
¹⁰ For my life is spent with ^(BJ)sorrow
And my years with sighing;
My ^(BK)strength has failed because of my iniquity,
And ^(BL)my ^[q]body has wasted away.
¹¹ Because of all my adversaries, I have become a ^(BM)reproach,
Especially to my ^(BN)neighbors,
And an object of dread to my acquaintances;
Those who see me in the street flee from me.
¹² I am ^(BO)forgotten as a dead man, out of mind;
I am like a broken vessel.
¹³ For I have heard the ^[r](BP)slander of many,
^(BQ)Terror is on every side;
While they ^(BR)took counsel together against me,
They ^(BS)schemed to take away my life.

¹⁴ But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord,
I say, “^(BT)You are my God.”
¹⁵ My ^(BU)times are in Your hand;
^(BV)Deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me.
¹⁶ Make Your ^(BW)face to shine upon Your servant;
^(BX)Save me in Your lovingkindness.
¹⁷ Let me not be ^(BY)put to shame, O Lord, for I call upon You;
Let the ^(BZ)wicked be put to shame, let them ^(CA)be silent in ^[s]Sheol.
¹⁸ Let the ^(CB)lying lips be mute,
Which ^(CC)speak arrogantly against the righteous
With pride and contempt.

¹⁹ How great is Your ^(CD)goodness,
Which You have stored up for those who fear You,
Which You have wrought for those who ^(CE)take refuge in You,
^(CF)Before the sons of men!
²⁰ You hide them in the ^(CG)secret place of Your presence from the ^(CH)conspiracies of man;
You keep them secretly in a ^[t]shelter from the ^(CI)strife of tongues.
^21 (CJ)Blessed be the Lord,
For He has made ^(CK)marvelous His lovingkindness to me in a besieged ^(CL)city.
²² As for me, ^(CM)I said in my alarm,
“I am ^(CN)cut off from before Your eyes”;
Nevertheless You ^(CO)heard the voice of my supplications
When I cried to You.

²³ O love the Lord, all you ^(CP)His godly ones!
The Lord ^(CQ)preserves the faithful
And fully ^(CR)recompenses the proud doer.
^24 (CS)Be strong and let your heart take courage,
All you who ^[u]hope in the Lord.

³ When ^(CW)I kept silent about my sin, ^(CX)my ^[w]body wasted away
Through my ^[x](CY)groaning all day long.
⁴ For day and night ^(CZ)Your hand was heavy upon me;
My ^[y](DA)vitality was drained away as with the fever heat of summer. ^[z]Selah.
⁵ I ^(DB)acknowledged my sin to You,
And my iniquity I ^(DC)did not hide;
I said, “^(DD)I will confess my transgressions to the Lord”;
And You ^(DE)forgave the ^[aa]guilt of my sin. Selah.
⁶ Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You ^[ab](DF)in a time when You may be found;
Surely ^(DG)in a flood of great waters they will not reach him.
⁷ You are ^(DH)my hiding place; You ^(DI)preserve me from trouble;
You surround me with ^[ac](DJ)songs of deliverance. Selah.

⁸ I will ^(DK)instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go;
I will counsel you ^(DL)with My eye upon you.
⁹ Do not be ^(DM)as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding,
Whose trappings include bit and bridle to hold them in check,
Otherwise they will not come near to you.
¹⁰ Many are the ^(DN)sorrows of the wicked,
But ^(DO)he who trusts in the Lord, lovingkindness shall surround him.
¹¹ Be ^(DP)glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous ones;
And shout for joy, all you who are ^(DQ)upright in heart.
