The Voice of the Lord in the Storm.
A Psalm of David.
29 (A)Ascribe to the Lord, [a]sons of the mighty,
Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory [b]due His name;
Worship the Lord (B)in holy attire.
3 The (C)voice of the Lord is on the waters;
The God of glory (D)thunders,
The Lord is over [c](E)many waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is (F)powerful,
The voice of the Lord is majestic.
5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
Yes, the Lord breaks (G)the cedars of Lebanon in pieces.
6 He makes Lebanon (H)skip like a calf,
And (I)Sirion like a young wild ox.
7 The voice of the Lord divides [d]flames of fire.
8 The voice of the Lord [e]shakes the wilderness;
The Lord shakes the wilderness of (J)Kadesh.
9 The voice of the Lord makes (K)the deer give birth
And strips the forests bare;
And (L)in His temple everything says, “Glory!”
10 The Lord sat as King at the (M)flood;
Yes, the Lord sits as (N)King forever.
11 [f]The Lord will give (O)strength to His people;
[g]The Lord will bless His people with (P)peace.

honrem o Senhor por sua glória e força.
2 Honrem o Senhor pela glória de seu nome,
adorem o Senhor no esplendor de sua santidade.
3 A voz do Senhor ecoa sobre o mar,
o Deus da glória troveja;
sobre o imenso mar, o Senhor fala.
4 A voz do Senhor é poderosa,
a voz do Senhor é majestosa.
5 A voz do Senhor quebra os grandes cedros,
o Senhor despedaça os cedros do Líbano.
6 Faz os montes do Líbano saltarem como bezerros,
faz o monte Hermom[b] pular como novilhos selvagens.
7 A voz do Senhor risca o céu
com relâmpagos.
8 A voz do Senhor sacode o deserto,
o Senhor faz tremer o deserto de Cades.
9 A voz do Senhor torce os fortes carvalhos[c]
e arranca as folhas dos bosques;
em seu templo todos proclamam: “Glória!”.
10 O Senhor comanda as águas da inundação,
o Senhor governa como Rei para sempre.
11 O Senhor dá força ao seu povo,
o Senhor os abençoa com paz.
