⁸ The Lord is powerful;
    he ·gives victory [is a saving refuge] to his ·chosen one [anointed].
⁹ ·Save [^LGive victory to] your people
    and bless ·those who are your own [^Lyour inheritance].
Be their shepherd and carry them forever.
