⁴ Repay them for their deeds
    and for their evil work;
repay them for what their hands have done^(A)
    and bring back on them what they deserve.^(B)

²⁹ Do not say, “I’ll do to them as they have done to me;
    I’ll pay them back for what they did.”^(A)

²⁹ “Summon archers against Babylon,
    all those who draw the bow.^(A)
Encamp all around her;
    let no one escape.^(B)
Repay^(C) her for her deeds;^(D)
    do to her as she has done.
For she has defied^(E) the Lord,
    the Holy One^(F) of Israel.

⁶⁴ Pay them back what they deserve, Lord,
    for what their hands have done.^(A)
