Psalm 27
Of David.
1 The Lord is my light(A) and my salvation(B)—
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold(C) of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?(D)
2 When the wicked advance against me
to devour[a] me,
it is my enemies and my foes
who will stumble and fall.(E)
3 Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;(F)
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident.(G)
4 One thing(H) I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,(I)
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.
5 For in the day of trouble(J)
he will keep me safe(K) in his dwelling;
he will hide me(L) in the shelter of his sacred tent
and set me high upon a rock.(M)
6 Then my head will be exalted(N)
above the enemies who surround me;(O)
at his sacred tent I will sacrifice(P) with shouts of joy;(Q)
I will sing(R) and make music(S) to the Lord.
7 Hear my voice(T) when I call, Lord;
be merciful to me and answer me.(U)
8 My heart says of you, “Seek his face!(V)”
Your face, Lord, I will seek.
9 Do not hide your face(W) from me,
do not turn your servant away in anger;(X)
you have been my helper.(Y)
Do not reject me or forsake(Z) me,
God my Savior.(AA)
10 Though my father and mother forsake me,
the Lord will receive me.
11 Teach me your way,(AB) Lord;
lead me in a straight path(AC)
because of my oppressors.(AD)
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses(AE) rise up against me,
spouting malicious accusations.

27 CHÚA là ánh sáng và sự cứu rỗi của tôi,
Tôi sẽ sợ ai?
CHÚA là thành lũy của mạng sống tôi,
Tôi sẽ khiếp đảm ai?
2 Khi những kẻ ác xông đến
Định ăn thịt tôi,
Những kẻ đàn áp và thù nghịch tấn công tôi,
Chúng nó sẽ vấp ngã và té nhào.
3 Dù một đạo quân bao vây tôi,
Lòng tôi sẽ không sợ.
Dù chiến tranh nổi dậy chống tôi,
Tôi vẫn vững lòng.
4 Tôi đã xin CHÚA một điều,
Là điều tôi sẽ tìm kiếm.
Ấy là tôi đuợc ở trong nhà CHÚA
Đến suốt đời,
Để chiêm ngưỡng sự tốt đẹp của CHÚA
Và cầu hỏi trong đền thờ Ngài.
5 Vì trong ngày hoạn nạn,
Ngài sẽ giấu tôi trong lều Ngài,
Ngài sẽ che giấu tôi trong nơi kín đáo của trại Ngài.
Ngài đặt tôi lên trên vầng đá.
6 Bây giờ, đầu tôi sẽ ngước cao
Lên trên những kẻ thù vây quanh tôi.
Tôi sẽ dâng tế lễ trong trại Ngài, là tế lễ bằng lời reo hò vui vẻ.
Tôi sẽ hát và ca ngợi CHÚA.
7 Lạy CHÚA, xin nghe tiếng tôi kêu cầu,
Xin thương xót tôi và đáp lời tôi.
8 Lòng tôi thưa với Ngài: Hãy tìm kiếm mặt Ngài.[a]
Lạy CHÚA, tôi tìm kiếm mặt Ngài.
9 Xin đừng lánh mặt khỏi tôi!
Trong khi giận, xin chớ xua đuổi tôi tớ Ngài,
Ngài vẫn giúp đỡ tôi.
Xin đừng xua đuổi, cũng chớ ruồng bỏ tôi!
Lạy Đức Chúa Trời là Đấng cứu rỗi tôi.
10 Dù cha mẹ bỏ tôi,
Nhưng CHÚA sẽ tiếp nhận tôi.
11 Lạy CHÚA, xin dạy tôi đường lối Ngài.
Xin dẫn tôi trên con đường bằng phẳng
Vì những kẻ rình rập tôi.
12 Xin chớ bỏ mặc tôi cho ý đồ[b] của kẻ thù tôi,
Vì những lời chứng dối và những kẻ ngăm đe
Hung bạo đã nổi lên chống tôi.
13 Tôi tin chắc rằng[c]
Tôi sẽ thấy phúc lành của CHÚA
Trên đất người sống.
14 Hãy trông cậy nơi CHÚA,
Hãy vững lòng và can đảm lên.
Phải, hãy trông cậy nơi CHÚA.

2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
4 One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.
5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.
7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.
9 Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.
11 Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
