12 Who, then, are those who fear the Lord?(A)
    He will instruct them in the ways(B) they should choose.[a]
13 They will spend their days in prosperity,(C)
    and their descendants will inherit the land.(D)
14 The Lord confides(E) in those who fear him;
    he makes his covenant known(F) to them.
15 My eyes are ever on the Lord,(G)
    for only he will release my feet from the snare.(H)

16 Turn to me(I) and be gracious to me,(J)
    for I am lonely(K) and afflicted.
17 Relieve the troubles(L) of my heart
    and free me from my anguish.(M)
18 Look on my affliction(N) and my distress(O)
    and take away all my sins.(P)
19 See how numerous are my enemies(Q)
    and how fiercely they hate me!(R)

20 Guard my life(S) and rescue me;(T)
    do not let me be put to shame,(U)
    for I take refuge(V) in you.
21 May integrity(W) and uprightness(X) protect me,
    because my hope, Lord,[b] is in you.(Y)

22 Deliver Israel,(Z) O God,
    from all their troubles!
