The Lord the Shepherd of His People

A Psalm of David.

^11 (A)“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. ¹² But a ^[a]hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and ^(B)leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. ¹³ The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. ¹⁴ I am the good shepherd; and ^(C)I know My sheep, and ^(D)am known by My own.

³³ But ^(A)seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

The Narrow Way^(A)

^13 (B)“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. ^14 [a]Because narrow is the gate and ^[b]difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

²⁸ And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. ^29 (A)My Father, ^(B)who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. ^30 (C)I and My Father are one.”

^38 (A)Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your ^(B)bosom. For ^(C)with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

^19 (A)Go ^[a]therefore and ^(B)make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ^20 (C)teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am ^(D)with you always, even to the end of the age.” ^[b]Amen.

^27 (A)Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
