The Lord Is My Shepherd

A Psalm of David.

^20 (A)Then he made the upright frames for the tabernacle of ^(B)acacia wood. ²¹ Ten cubits was the length of a frame, and a cubit and a half the breadth of each frame. ²² Each frame had two tenons for fitting together. He did this for all the frames of the tabernacle. ²³ The frames for the tabernacle he made thus: twenty frames for the south side. ²⁴ And he made forty bases of silver under the twenty frames, two bases under one frame for its two tenons, and two bases under the next frame for its two tenons. ²⁵ For the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, he made twenty frames ²⁶ and their forty bases of silver, two bases under one frame and two bases under the next frame. ²⁷ For the rear of the tabernacle westward he made six frames. ²⁸ He made two frames for corners of the tabernacle in the rear. ²⁹ And they were separate beneath but joined at the top, at the first ring. He made two of them this way for the two corners. ³⁰ There were eight frames with their bases of silver: sixteen bases, under every frame two bases.

³¹ He made bars of acacia wood, five for the frames of the one side of the tabernacle, ³² and five bars for the frames of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the frames of the tabernacle at the rear westward. ³³ And he made the middle bar to run from end to end halfway up the frames. ³⁴ And he overlaid the frames with gold, and made their rings of gold for holders for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold.

^35 (C)He made the veil of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen; with cherubim skillfully worked into it he made it. ³⁶ And for it he made four pillars of acacia and overlaid them with gold. Their hooks were of gold, and he cast for them four bases of silver. ³⁷ He also made a screen for the entrance of the tent, of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, embroidered with needlework, ³⁸ and its five pillars with their hooks. He overlaid their capitals, and their fillets were of gold, but their five bases were of bronze.

By Grace Through Faith

2 ^(A)And you were ^(B)dead in the trespasses and sins ^2 (C)in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following ^(D)the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in ^(E)the sons of disobedience— ³ among whom we all once lived in ^(F)the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body^[a] and the mind, and ^(G)were by nature ^(H)children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.^{[b] 4} But^[c] God, being ^(I)rich in mercy, ^(J)because of the great love with which he loved us, ⁵ even ^(K)when we were dead in our trespasses, ^(L)made us alive together with Christ—^(M)by grace you have been saved— ⁶ and raised us up with him and ^(N)seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, ⁷ so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable ^(O)riches of his grace in ^(P)kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. ⁸ For ^(Q)by grace you have been saved ^(R)through faith. And this is ^(S)not your own doing; ^(T)it is the gift of God,

²⁵ For David says concerning him,

²⁹ “Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about ^(G)the patriarch David ^(H)that he both died and ^(I)was buried, and ^(J)his tomb is with us to this day. ^30 (K)Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that ^(L)God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, ³¹ he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that ^(M)he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. ³² This Jesus ^(N)God raised up, ^(O)and of that we all are witnesses. ^33 (P)Being therefore ^(Q)exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from ^(R)the Father ^(S)the promise of the Holy Spirit, ^(T)he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing. ³⁴ For ^(U)David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says,

³⁶ Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that ^(W)God has made him ^(X)both Lord and Christ, this Jesus ^(Y)whom you crucified.”

³⁷ Now when ^(Z)they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, ^(AA)what shall we do?” ³⁸ And Peter said to them, ^(AB)“Repent and ^(AC)be baptized every one of you ^(AD)in the name of Jesus Christ ^(AE)for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive ^(AF)the gift of the Holy Spirit. ³⁹ For ^(AG)the promise is for you and ^(AH)for your children and for all ^(AI)who are far off, everyone ^(AJ)whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” ⁴⁰ And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, ^(AK)“Save yourselves from this ^(AL)crooked generation.” ⁴¹ So those who received his word were baptized, and ^(AM)there were added that day about three thousand souls.
