The King of Glory
A Psalm of David.
24 (A)The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof,[a]
the world and those who dwell therein,
2 for he has (B)founded it upon (C)the seas
and established it upon the rivers.
3 (D)Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord?
And who shall stand in his (E)holy place?
4 (F)He who has (G)clean hands and (H)a pure heart,
who does not (I)lift up his soul to (J)what is false
and does not swear deceitfully.
5 He will receive (K)blessing from the Lord
and (L)righteousness from (M)the God of his salvation.
6 Such is (N)the generation of those who seek him,
who (O)seek the face of the God of Jacob.[b] Selah
7 (P)Lift up your heads, O gates!
And be lifted up, O ancient doors,
that (Q)the King of glory may come in.
8 Who is this King of glory?
The Lord, strong and mighty,
the Lord, (R)mighty in battle!
9 Lift up your heads, O gates!
And lift them up, O ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is this King of glory?
(S)The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory! Selah

Isaiah 9:2-7
English Standard Version
2 [a] (A)The people (B)who walked in darkness
have seen a great light;
those who dwelt in a land of (C)deep darkness,
on them has light shone.
3 (D)You have multiplied the nation;
you have increased its joy;
they rejoice before you
as with (E)joy at the harvest,
as they (F)are glad (G)when they divide the spoil.
4 (H)For the yoke of his burden,
(I)and the staff for his shoulder,
the rod of his oppressor,
you have broken as (J)on the day of Midian.
5 (K)For every boot of the tramping warrior in battle tumult
and every garment rolled in blood
will be burned as fuel for the fire.
6 (L)For to us a child is born,
to us (M)a son is given;
(N)and the government shall be (O)upon[b] his shoulder,
and his name shall be called[c]
Wonderful (P)Counselor, (Q)Mighty God,
(R)Everlasting (S)Father, Prince of (T)Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and of peace
(U)there will be no end,
on the throne of David and over his kingdom,
to establish it and to uphold it
(V)with justice and with righteousness
from this time forth and forevermore.
(W)The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

Hebrews 10:5-10
English Standard Version
5 Consequently, (A)when Christ[a] came into the world, he said,
(B)“Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired,
but a body have you prepared for me;
6 in burnt offerings and sin offerings
you have taken no pleasure.
7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come to do your will, O God,
as it is written of me in the scroll of the book.’”
8 When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in (C)sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these are offered according to the law), 9 then he added, (D)“Behold, I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first in order to establish the second. 10 And by that will (E)we have been sanctified through the offering of (F)the body of Jesus Christ (G)once for all.

Christ Our Advocate
2 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, (A)we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 (B)He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but (C)also for the sins of the whole world.

Colossians 1:13-23
English Standard Version
13 He (A)has delivered us from (B)the domain of darkness and transferred us to (C)the kingdom of (D)his beloved Son, 14 (E)in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
The Preeminence of Christ
15 (F)He is the image of (G)the invisible God, (H)the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by[a] him all things were created, (I)in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether (J)thrones or (K)dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created (L)through him and for him. 17 And (M)he is before all things, and in him all things (N)hold together. 18 And (O)he is the head of the body, the church. He is (P)the beginning, (Q)the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. 19 For (R)in him all the (S)fullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20 and (T)through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, (U)making peace (V)by the blood of his cross.
21 (W)And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, (X)doing evil deeds, 22 he has now reconciled (Y)in his body of flesh by his death, (Z)in order to present you holy and blameless and (AA)above reproach before him, 23 (AB)if indeed you continue in the faith, (AC)stable and steadfast, not shifting from (AD)the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed (AE)in all creation[b] under heaven, (AF)and of which I, Paul, became a minister.
