12 Many bulls(A) surround me;(B)
    strong bulls of Bashan(C) encircle me.
13 Roaring lions(D) that tear their prey(E)
    open their mouths wide(F) against me.
14 I am poured out like water,
    and all my bones are out of joint.(G)
My heart has turned to wax;(H)
    it has melted(I) within me.
15 My mouth[a] is dried up like a potsherd,(J)
    and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth;(K)
    you lay me in the dust(L) of death.

16 Dogs(M) surround me,
    a pack of villains encircles me;
    they pierce[b](N) my hands and my feet.
17 All my bones are on display;
    people stare(O) and gloat over me.(P)
18 They divide my clothes among them
    and cast lots(Q) for my garment.(R)
