The Messiah’s Triumph and Kingdom(A)
2 Why (B)do the [a]nations [b]rage,
And the people plot a [c]vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the (C)rulers take counsel together,
Against the Lord and against His (D)Anointed,[d] saying,
3 “Let (E)us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”
4 He who sits in the heavens (F)shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure:
6 “Yet I have [e]set My King
[f]On My holy hill of Zion.”
7 “I will declare the [g]decree:
The Lord has said to Me,
(G)‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
8 Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
9 (H)You shall [h]break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ”
10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.
12 [i]Kiss the Son, lest [j]He be angry,
And you perish in the way,
When (I)His wrath is kindled but a little.
(J)Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

2 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

2 Tại sao các nước náo loạn?
Các dân mưu phản hư không?
2 Các vua trần gian nổi dậy,
Các lãnh tụ cùng nhau hội nghị chống CHÚA
Và Đấng xức dầu của Ngài.
(Họ bảo:)
3 “Chúng ta hãy bẻ ách,
Tháo cùm của họ khỏi chúng ta.”
4 Đấng ngự trên trời cười,
Chúa chế nhạo chúng nó.
5 Bấy giờ, trong cơn thịnh nộ, Ngài khiển trách chúng nó.
Trong cơn giận dữ, Ngài làm chúng nó kinh hoàng.
6 Thật vậy, chính Ta đã lập vua Ta trên Si-ôn,
Là núi thánh Ta.
7 Ta sẽ truyền sắc chỉ của CHÚA.
Ngài phán cùng Ta: “Con là con Ta,
Ngày nay, chính Ta đã sinh con.”
8 Hãy cầu xin Ta,
Ta sẽ ban cho con các nước làm cơ nghiệp,
Và khắp cả đất làm tài sản.
9 Con sẽ cai trị chúng nó bằng cây gậy sắt,
Đập tan chúng nó như đồ gốm.
10 Vì vậy, hỡi các vua, hãy khôn ngoan.
Hỡi các lãnh tụ trần gian, hãy nhận lời khuyên bảo.
11 Hãy kính sợ mà phục vụ CHÚA.
Hãy run rẩy mà vui mừng.
12 Hãy hôn Con, e Ngài nổi giận,
Và ngươi phải bị diệt vong trên đường.
Vì cơn thịnh nộ Ngài bừng lên tức khắc.
Phước cho người nào trú ẩn nơi Ngài.
