^7 (A)Then the earth shook and trembled;
The foundations of the hills also quaked and were shaken,
Because He was angry.
⁸ Smoke went up from His nostrils,
And devouring fire from His mouth;
Coals were kindled by it.
^9 (B)He bowed the heavens also, and came down
With darkness under His feet.
^10 (C)And He rode upon a cherub, and flew;
^(D)He flew upon the wings of the wind.
¹¹ He made darkness His secret place;
^(E)His canopy around Him was dark waters
And thick clouds of the skies.
^12 (F)From the brightness before Him,
His thick clouds passed with hailstones and coals of fire.

¹³ The Lord thundered from heaven,
And the Most High uttered ^(G)His voice,
^[a]Hailstones and coals of fire.
^14 (H)He sent out His arrows and scattered ^[b]the foe,
Lightnings in abundance, and He vanquished them.

¹⁶ The waters saw You, O God;
The waters saw You, they were ^(A)afraid;
The depths also trembled.
¹⁷ The clouds poured out water;
The skies sent out a sound;
Your arrows also flashed about.
¹⁸ The voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind;
The lightnings lit up the world;
The earth trembled and shook.
¹⁹ Your way was in the sea,
Your path in the great waters,
And Your footsteps were not known.
²⁰ You led Your people like a flock
By the hand of Moses and Aaron.
